I had a muscle strain sport injury with my shoulder blade, shoulder, and tricept and after coming here for three months of weekly attendance, those areas feel rehabilitated. The therapists and assistant therapists like Amanda are very knowledgeable in knowing what stretches and exercises can help you as well massaging the right areas . They're very attentive to your needs and very personable. Don't be afraid to tell them what works for you and what doesn't as they're all there to help you. As mentioned before coming here, workout clothes are recommended since you will be doing a lot of movement and possibly working up a sweat - you are essentially going to a gym with a personal trainer who will needle or massage you at the end. When it's time for me to discharge, I'll definitely be celebrating my return to normalcy(and not paying the medical bills) yet at the same time, a little bit crestfallen as the staff here has grown on me and I will miss them a little.

After trying other procedures for my pain and discomfort and not getting any relief, someone…read moresuggested I try dry needling. I saw Dr. Charlotte for dry needling twice at this location. I was a little scared of dry needling at first, but it's virtually painless! I felt relief the very next day, if not later that day after our first session. Huge difference! It was incredible. I scheduled another session a few weeks later and she added electrical impulses, which worked well for my problem area. Dr. Charlotte also gave me exercises and stretches to do and said I can see her for dry needling as needed and I haven't had a need to. It's been over a month since my last session and the pain and discomfort is very minimal. The facility is nice and clean. The treatment area is open and bright. There's a private room for dry needling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back again, as my problem is something that probably won't go away completely for a while.

Last year it got the worst. He was told he couldn't work because he was having ten or more seizures a day. Some even looked like intense strokes. We picked up our lives and moved to Georgia. The support staff though with this office is absolutely horrible. Anytime I have ever had surgery elsewhere I have had the office call and check in afterwards within a few days. Simply make sure everything after care wise is understood and see how I'm feeling and if I had questions. First time in my life this didn't happen so that was confusing to me. At the hospital I woke up with my back brace around my waist. I was drugged out of my mind obviously from anesthesia and pain meds and had no idea how it even ended up on my waist. No one explained placement or anything to me for the brace. To this day I have no clue if I'm using it correctly which to me is not ok. The hospital said at discharge the doctors office would call me after surgery to check in and that never happened so that leads to major confusion. I finally called them and you would have thought the lady was the most inconvenienced she'd ever been in her life. Pretty much her explanation was take them how I want. WHAT. She then tells me a story her father in law had a ton of meds and he just took them and was drugged and sleepy the whole time. UM. Upon speaking with my PCP he stated no you can't do that and it needed to be spaced out 8 hrs apart. Again, this lady could have cared less about the safety of medication. I simply needed to know when to take my after surgery medications being they were major drugs and I already take medications and didnt know how to incorporate it together. She wanted me to just ask my PCP how to do it after I kept asking questions. Blew my mind. Because again, their office just called in these meds with zero explanation on when or how to take them. The first time they randomly called in my medication they called in a drug that I was allergic to and thank goodness I caught that beforehand. Calling the patient literally may take you 5 mins and explaining what you're calling in and what it's for seems basic to me. I called the office 2 wks prior to my surgery and spoke to Jessie the clinical manager to let her know my insurance required a pre authorization for my meds to be paid for. She replied she'd never seen anything like that and don't worry about it (speaking to me via the receptionist because she didn't want to take my call). Well 2 days prior to my surgery the insurance was still asking the office to complete paperwork for my medication. They never did it so I had to pay out of pocket. Since Jessie refused to help me in advance, I had to come out of pocket and lost money due to her negligence. With insurance, my meds would have been $1.15. To me, that is not customer service at all. And it's no worry to her since it's not her money obviously! To add, this office does not know how to call anyone back. They will say "I'll give you a call back" and rarely do it. If they do - you feel like you won the lotto. I'm literally waiting 2 wks now for a callback from Jessie. Maybe I am a one off - maybe they just do business this way - maybe Jessie just doesnt like me. Maybe she just doesnt care. Who knows. My guess though is if it was her, and she needed help, she'd expect to be treated with care. Either way this was my experience. I feel that feedback helps a business grow but a simple after surgery phone call seems like basic kindness and customer service that this office cannot even achieve on their own. I'm not sure where the disconnect is but I'm left confused for sure. The bigger confusion is being called day of surgery by the hospital at 7am asking where I was because I was late. My appointment was at noon and to arrive by 10am. The hospital said they let Legacy know the schedule was changed. Not one person let me know which would have been great info to relay to the patient. I had to race in rush hour traffic to downtown Atlanta and thank goodness they waited on my arrival. Piedmont had notes that they spoken to the clinic regarding the change. Yet no one was able to call me. Shocker.

He had referred me to a Piedmont Head and Neck surgeon. When my wife and I got there the Surgeon's staff had n referral on file nor any of my information. Given that my Primary Care Doctor, Cardiologist as well as my Urologist are all Piedmont doctors, I found it very curious that they had no information about why I was there, Needless to say, we left. I let Piedmont Cancer know about the snafu and they referred me to Piedmont ENT on Peachtree. Again, we got there and meet with a doctor who , again, had no idea why I was there. It was to have a surgical biopsy on my right lymphnoid. After the exam, he had referred my to Emory Winship Cancer Institute. Given all my doctors were Piedmont doctors, my experience with Piedmont Cancer Institute was extremely disappointing. To top it off, where they charge me $50.00 for a smoking eval, where they had asked the following questions: how long have I smoke and how may packs a day. Some eval!!! It may be convenient location but not worth the aggravation and time lost.

Jessica changed the compress, explained the blood bump, and bruising. She put our minds at ease about what all was going on, and assured us that this is normal after such an large operation. This review is for the Snellville, GA location…read more Yesterday, I scheduled an appointment for my husband for 11:00 a.m. today. During the scheduling process, I specifically explained that he needed a physical examination to determine his level of disability. The scheduler confirmed that this could be done and even assigned a specific doctor to perform the exam. When my husband arrived for his appointment, he was informed that it had been canceled. To make matters worse, the person who canceled the appointment escorted him to an exam room to explain why it had been canceled yet never explained why no one contacted him yesterday or even this morning to notify him before he made the trip. My husband drove from another town for this appointment, only to learn after arriving that it had been canceled because the office does not perform the type of examination he needed. This information should have been communicated before the appointment was scheduled, or at the very least before he traveled to the office. The lack of communication, poor coordination, and complete disregard for our time is unacceptable. What should have been a simple phone call became a wasted trip and a very frustrating experience. I am furious about how this situation was handled and would strongly encourage others to think twice before scheduling an appointment at this location.
