This is my experience from when I visited this facility 2 weeks ago to visit my nephew. I am from the Bay Area in California, so it is quite difficult to get over to Utah but my sister and I finally did. Calling the facility was fine, most of the time got through. Being there was quite nice, every staff member was very nice and seemed to have great connections with the patients. From Sophia at the front desk to JB the therapist, I felt more better seeing everything and interacting with staff. My nephew is my everything and I know it is going to be a journey for him to get through some tough times. I hope I am able to come back to visit. He wasn't able to go off campus due to his actions the night before. But it was nice that they didn't put a limit on the time we were able to visit him at the facility. I started working here as a way to further my experience in the adolescent behavioral health sciences I have over 15 years of medical experience and wanted to further my degree. Having been in residential treatment myself when I was much younger I related to what these kids were going through and could understand some of the situations that led them here. The residence here varied between conduct disorder, severe depression, schizophrenia and deviant sexual behaviors, (to name a few). The residents were great to work with they were forthcoming and most of them understood why they were here and were engaged in their own treatment. The micromanaging, constant nitpicking, admin grouping and clique behavior, the gossip Mill the sexual inappropriate staffing manager, the CEO who was aloof and really not concerned with goings on here, the HR Manager who was completely biased, judgmental and sophomoric that's the real problem here! I had concerns regarding keeping residents here longer than they needed to be here because they had good insurance, I had issues with keeping residents here even though they were assaultive to staff and peers, or mentally unable to participate in programming and treatment..... And I voice them and after that I could do nothing right and walked on eggshells. The facility is filthy, broken down, black mold, smells of piss leaky plumbing and safety violations with every turn. The average weight gain for a child here for a one-year period is 35 lb. They are placated with food, on top of Three fatty meals a day they are given to high carb high sugar snacks, and oftentimes if they earn enough happy bucks they are able to order a full size Little Caesars pizza and eat it in addition to these other food items and meals they are getting. Their coursework for high school consists of coloring playing with the Rubik's cubes or puzzles playing computer games and very rarely being read to out of a comic book. read more

Please look elsewhere to provide treatment for your children I worked here for 18 months and I have never seen such a toxic place to work. I used to be proud of this wonderful place and the people that I work with and inspiring and helping teens. But now since staff have left or got fired for selfish reasons by admin, the conditions are questionable for the kids to live in and are constantly giving disappointments and empty promises and then admin are surprised to see the kids pop off and get upset all the time. then on the other hand warn the staff to not go hands on and use the training they are given because the CEO doesn't want to be known for having multiple holds a month. It's heartbreaking to see such good people who work together to be pushed out by selfish and toxic people who only care about their jobs. And now we suffer the consequences from inhumane management that incredibly selfish. Y'all don't know what y'all are talking about, don't have not one clue PERIOD. know this place better than y'all ever will . One I was there a few months ago and it is because your children don't do what they need to do there , they have the best staff, who actually care ... a program that is good and is structured on what the resident/patient needs... the program is not that hard to understand or follow so if parents don't like this place it's just because they don't like it because things aren't going there way. My son is here and has been for awhile, we are not allowed to take pictures of the facility for confidentiality reasons. I have a LOT of mixed emotions about this place tbh. When we got there THIS time we were stuck between the locked doors after placing the phone call on their internal phone asking to pick up my son, for well over 15-20 minutes. It was cold and there are no chairs. Those of you who know me well know that recently I have thrown my back out so this was very awkward for me. As for my son's care I feel they take good care of him but don't do a lot of listening to ME as the parent and don't seem to want to follow what *I* want done with my son's health. That's disappointing. However his behavior has improved. That's refreshing. On another hand I feel he gets away with a little too much manipulation and maybe a little too much of things he wants instead of things he needs. Just my opinion. read more

I've been a patient here and this place is corrupt but it's fun , my behavior changed inside but as soon as I got out I went back to what I was doing before . If you think pills are going to make you feel any better your totally wrong. And the staff can be really crappy sometimes , there was lots of sexual behavior towards the women staff. read more
