I was extremely disappointed by my experience…read more I told the photographer it would be our first time shooting as a family and asked for any tips prior and told her this was primarily for family photos to use as a Christmas card. The only tip told ahead of time was: not to wear totally matching outfits, but ones that coordinate. At the shoot, it was cold, so I understand it wasn't the most ideal environment, but the photographer seemed checked out. We got a mix of photos that were heavily edited, and in my opinion, poorly edited (overly whited out) and mostly solo pictures of the baby. (I am a snap happy mom so I have many pictures of the baby solo, and not many of the family as a whole--which I mentioned during the shoot). I was really disappointed by the emailed gallery, conveyed such, and asked for maybe even the unedited copies of the photos (I respect the time it takes to edit the photos). When requesting the unedited copies, even offering to pay more, I was denied even though I was really disappointed by the edited results. Most of all, I found photos of my child online without consent or request. Totally horrified. This was never mentioned (nor was permission asked). I only found them after looking for a place to read other reviews to see if I was the only person not happy with the results of this particular photographer.

Returned to Picture People after our family took a covid hiatus. We have added our 4th and final…read morekiddo, so we needed an updated family photo. Not only were we pleased with the experience with Olivia (our photographer), but I'm happy with our product purchase. Olivia was lovely to work with and adjusted well to our kids unique personalities. She caught some smiles and silly faces that will hang on our walls forever. I will warn other customers that this is not a speedy process. Since you can receive prints day of, it takes a few minutes for photographer to upload, edit, and present. If this is a family photo session, I recommend you have a "getaway car" so there kids don't have to wait. Let the other parent or a friend take the kids home or out to lunch or something! You do not want your kids bored at Buy Buy Baby. We purchased a deal on groupon, but later learned there best deal war through Picture Peoples (purchase ahead) site. She was perfectly fine when we left the house but by the time we got there she was burning up. They were VERY friendly and patient. They allowed me to go and purchase a thermometer, check her temp etc. they offered for me to reschedule but we went ahead and did the pictures anyway once the Tylenol kicked in. The photographer took great pictures and both employees were super, super, friendly!! I can't wait to go back and have my daughter's 6 month pictures taken! I will not do it anywhere near her shots, however. Lesson learned. Thanks for capturing beautiful shots of my baby girl that we will have for a lifetime! :)

Every single session by Amy was professionally (and patiently) conducted. Our Maternity shoot took place in February of 2018 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and despite the incredibly cold weather, Amy was able to capture wonderful photos. For our other sessions we met Amy at her sweet little studio and the pictures were absolutely adorable! Her prices are incredibly fair and her turnaround time is quick. Our son has changed so much over the first few months of his life and we are glad we invested in some high quality photos to capture his sweet looks! Looking forward to sharing our lives through photography with Amy in the future.
