It's really a fundraiser for the Bellmore Lions Club, a local school team. This section has strawberries, strawberry cake, and strawberry daiquiris on sale. This carnival gets crowded the later it gets, so I recommend getting there mid-afternoon. It is a lot of fun for what it is, especially for kids. Make sure you bring lots of cash for your food and other things you might want to purchase. I did see one ATM available but don't take any chances.

The wristband got you on every ride unlimited amount of times so that was definitely the best deals if you plan on going on the rides. Plenty of food vendors and games through the fair grounds as well. Standard fair stuff , ice cream, funnel cakes, lemonade, Carmel apples and much more. They also had shows like a high wire act, robot car and a petting zoo. Definitely a fun way to spend a few hours.

Then the rest of the fair is at Merrick Ave from Sunrise to Loines in front of RS Beanery. Every year they have great bands playing on a flatbed truck. You can find everything you want from food of every ethnicity, to clothes, to services, to political signs. This year it has so many vendors. My favorite part are the animals. Everybody brings their dogs and I just stop and pet them all (after asking the owners, of course). The petting zoo is there too, this year with a large amount of animals. Living in NYC most of my life, I used to think this fair was cheesy. Now the only thing cheesy is the areas. Enjoy the beautiful weather and my community.

I came here about a week ago on a Saturday for their Heartbreakers party (5pm-9pm) with a few…read morefriends and had a great time! Tickets (~$30/pp) were easy to purchase via their website and they email you the QR code which you can show at the door when you arrive. No need to print the ticket! I was surprised at how big the venue was inside because from the outside, it looked like a small spot. Apparently this spot has been around for awhile because when I mentioned the place to my stepfather in law, he knew about it from when he was younger! The place was also surprisingly very clean and tidy. Coat check was $3 cash and the line went relatively fast. I was really happy they did not misplace or lose my jacket at the end of the night (speaking from my clubbing days from "back in the day"). You get a physical ticket after handing them your jacket and they even tell you to take a picture of the ticket in case you lose it during the night. After getting my coat checked, there was a table with lit up flower headbands and lit up foam sticks. These were both a hit as almost everyone at the venue had one of each. I would say the age range went from those in their 30s up to women in their 50s. Everyone was respectful of each other which was great. The place was crowded but not so crowded that you couldn't move around or felt claustrophobic though at times, the venue did get kind of warm inside. I did not order any food but I think the VIP tables had that option. I also did not order any drinks because I do not drink alcohol. My friends that did drink seemed happy with what they got. There were multiple bars throughout the venue which was great as you didn't have to walk far to get a drink. I had no issues with any of the staff throughout my night. The bartenders were pleasant as well as the staff handling the coats, the bouncers and security. There were two bathrooms (men and women) and there was always a line for both. At this specific party it was females only so staff allowed us to use the mens bathroom. The DJ (DJ Mary Mac) was great and played a good variety of music throughout the night. There was even a portion of the night where January birthday party goers got up on the stage to celebrate their birthdays. Sound quality was great and even though this was a "day party", it really felt like we were partying at night like the good old clubbing days haha. The con is that parking is hard to find so arrive early before the party. It is located right next to the LIRR train station so I guess that's good for those that want to travel by train. A lot of areas around the venue was 1 hour parking until 6pm or 8pm which was annoying because the party I was going to started at 5pm. Overall, I would definitely return for other events! My daughter has been attending prodigy for over three years-she takes acting and hip hop…read more Mr. Seta the acting teacher is phenomenal- he does so many different types of acting performing activities from script writing to voiceover practice to helping the kids if they want to get into auditions etc. This class has given my daughter way more confidence overall and with public speaking-she truly loves and looks forward to this class and loves her teacher-he handles a group of high energy kids with a level of patience of a saint and gets them having fun. She's had several hip hop teachers over the years but all have been fun and professional and have taken her to a better understanding and enjoyment of the art of dance. Prodigy puts together an outstanding recital every year that always sells out. The owners and staff are so friendly and really care about each student. He is efficient, flexible and will always give you the best advice. My daughter is a competitive dancer she's in many classes with many outstanding teachers. Her first year competing with her solo she was top first place. Thank you Prodigy School of the Arts for improving my daughter's voice, acting and dance skills that she was able to use in her pageant competition and won. Never the less they have a great recital, I always buy the video for memories. These are the life skills that will stay with your child in this industry.
