Belle Epoque is a Cape Vincent mainstay for gifts and goodies. It is a small store on the main street of the town, to the left of the grocery store (French Towne Market). There are many locally themed items here, such as the famous Know Your Ships book, art, ornaments, coffee mugs, and many other river/NYS/Cape Vincent items. There are also plenty of non-themed items like jewelry and colorful socks. Last time I was in during the French Festival, I met the cutest dog Dorothy (I'm assuming the owner's). She was dressed in her finest beret and striped shirt, which made the visit to Belle Epoque worth it all by itself. read more
