Although there is ample outdoor seating across the street from the big Arkade mall, I chose to do counter service and take out. One thing I learned - you pay first, and the cashier gives you a ticket, which you then present to the person behind the counter. The flavor choices are truly overwhelming. And at only 2.20 Euros for two healthy scoops in a cone or cup, you can get your fix without spending all your wadded up Euros and non-distinct Euro coins. I opted for the Nutella flavor and the Straciatella flavor - OMG. Huge chunks of cold/congealed Nutella in hazelnut-flavored ice cream. This place also has artsy, hand-crafted ice cream creations ranging in price from about 5 to 8 Euros...some have boozy toppings, too!

Although the menu has the usual traditional Austrian cuisine, we both opted for salads and they were great. Ice cream for dessert rounded out the meal and we were happy. The restaurant filled up with large groups of people so we were lucky to get a table before all that happened. This is obviously a place where families and friends like to gather and it was nice to sit and observe them enjoying each other's company for awhile.
