I got a regular pedicure at this lovely salon. The staff was extremely friendly and at 10am in the morning when they open it was nice and quiet. My pedicure was excellent leaving my feet nice and smooth and with cleanly painted toes. Would definitely recommend. read more

This a great spot! It was recommended to me by a neighbour and so my sister and I gave it a try. We went for pedicures and were pleasantly surprised by the quiet spa like atmosphere. They were constantly full, but there was no hustle and bustle or loud shouting to each other. It felt like a family business and everyone working there was very professional and service oriented. Saw some signage for a new nail salon "opening soon" in my area and got a bit giddy. Yes, this is what my life has become - all about convenience. When they opened weeks later, I called and made an appointment for a shellac manicure. Since it was there grand opening, 30% off all nail services. SCORE....... I thought. Arriving at the salon it looked clean and not really busy. Only one other customer was having services done when I arrived. I noticed three employees were working(doing things around the salon) and one approached me and I told her I was there for my appointment. I was seated at a table right away. I was provided the clip of all the nail color options and proceeded to pick #96. A nice deep red. Perfect. Tracey was my nail technician and she seemed friendly. She told me how busy they were since they opened, which I thought was great since they are a new local business and new to the area. Love that so many people are supporting them. A few times during my manicure she referenced how allot of cheap people were coming into the salon and people who don't tip well. I thought this was quiet strange to say since they were having a grand opening special for 3 weeks and offering 30% off? I don't think people are cheap if they are taking advantage of a sale? I don't classify myself cheap, however if there is a sale on something I want - I am not going to complain. I also thought her mentioning how people don't tip well, wasn't ideal to stale to a brand new customer and a person in for the first time. It took me a little back since, I go to many places to get my nails done and I really like the talking to a minimum and if there is talking, just basic day to day things work fine. I keep away from deep conversation or conversation about religion and politics. I just want a shellac manicure, not looking to solve world hunger! My manicure was great. The color, finish and that it took under 30 minutes. This place isn't the pamper type of place. More so get in and get out. No offer of a drink, a hand massage or anything extra. Just your basic nail place with no extras. Paid at the counter and made sure to tip quiet well. Only because it was a sale and I remember Tracey comments of "cheap people and not tipping well". I didn't want to offend her and tipped more than I usually would for this type of service. Left and was on my way. Even posted a picture on YELP on my new red manicure. Would have provided 4 stars (yes, even with the comments from the nail technician) Next day I woke up with a really swollen and itchy right hand. Thought nothing of it. The day after that, the same right hand had now produced blisters by my nails. Eep!!!!!!! Went to a walk in clinic since I honestly thought I was allergic to something, but thought it was so strange it was only on one hand? The Dr looked and within a minute advised me I had a fungal nail infection. YUCK!!!! She started to ask me questions of where or what I may have handled in the last few days. I advised her nothing. She asked me if I may have been to some nail salon, which I had remembered that less than 48 hours prior I was at Vignette Nails getting a manicure (which happens to be 2 doors down from this walk -in clinic) Dr was surprised since she stated that place just opened! Which even surprised me, since I was aware they were new. I have been getting manicures/pedicures for the last 10+ years on a very regular basis and not always at the best places and never had any issues, so to know now that I got an infection at a brand spanking new place made me feel sick. She prescribed me some cream, took a swab sample of my nails and advised me I need to make the salon aware. YUCK! I left and thought about going into the salon to let them know but instead went home and called them right away. I needed to calm down first. I was advised that the owner isn't there often but would call me back about "my issue". That was over 3 weeks ago and never heard from anyone at this salon. I wasn't calling them to complain or to get a refund, just make them aware that they need to do a better job sanitizing their nail tools. For a new salon, this isn't acceptable. Was extremely unhappy with my previous nail salon so was searching for a new salon. Decided to support a local business so I tried Vignette Nail Salon in Royal Oak. Katie was my nail tech & she was very good. Had one of the best gel nail fill & polish that I've had in a long time. So I booked a gel fill, Polish change and pedicure for 2 weeks later. Just had that appointment & it went very well. Extremely happy with both the fill/polish change & pedicure! If you're not happy with your current nail salon, I think you'd be very pleased with the technicians at Vignette. They are very professional and take time to do the job right. You don't feel rushed in & out like many salons make you feel. read more

My daughter and I came for a mother-daughter date to have finger and toenails done. They were friendly and were flexible with scheduling to accommodate our time. We had a lovely time soaking in our massage chairs and being pampered. The staff were professional and skilled but it took a while to dry, so anticipate a couple of hours in total. This was perfect for us as we were able to relax, have a massage and watch some home reno TV and just escape from our hectic day. read more

Just had a great experience. I got a shellac pedicure. They took their time cleaning and painting my feet. Very happy and will come back.

I came in to get my nails redone after less than a week because the nail polish was old and it was chipping and looked absolutely terrible. The lady fixing my nails proceeded to madly take off my nail polish and barley fix a chipped nail that I had. She was upset that I kindly told her how unhappy I was and proceeded to treat me terrible. I walked out NOT getting my nails redone because I was so unhappy how I was being treated coming in to get my nails fixed due to their mistake. While I was waiting another lady walked in and expressed her discontent with them. I will never come back again. read more

Having a nail salon open up in our area was exciting. We could easily walk down the hill and treat ourselves whenever! My first trip in was with my 14 year old daughter and I. Katie did my pedicure and Linda did my daughters. Katie is sweet and overall my pedicure was great. Linda on the other hand was slightly less than friendly and insulted the length of my daughters nails and also mentioned she had hairy legs lmao. However...the pedicure was good and the salon is really clean and pretty, so we didn't write it off. Since then both my daughters have been down to the salon and both times Linda has slapped hands and said they need to "relax". I realize there are language and possible cultural barriers but friendliness is universal. We won't be back. Too bad. read more

Just had a shellac manicure and pedicure at this location today. It was excellent! Very efficient and detailed. Girls were friendly and salon looked very clean. Loved my pedicure scrub and massage with hot stones. Was in and out in 1.5 hours which is great as it usually takes so long at other salons. I booked appt but they take walkins. I definitely will be back. I think my husband plans to go tomorrow for a pedicure. Great little find! read more

Absolutely had the worst experience and nails done. I was cut and then had had the alcohol on my nails which was extremely painful. Not only that, but a horrible "hack job" on my nails. It's disappointing as I thought they were doing better, however my last two experiences here were awful. read more

PATHETIC SERVICE WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. was so excited that something finally opened close to home. Went there when it first opened. Got an appointment for manicure and pedicure.had taken my 7 month baby along. At first she was nice. And was doing a good job for my feet. Then she got up went to see some other clients i was waiting for her. She got me so late that she told me they were closing and i had to come again tomorrow...at first i thought thats weird they cant do that. But than i said ok ill come tomorrow. Next day i specifically told her i have left my baby at home so i want to get my manicure faster. IT TOOK THEM 2 HOURS! and four of them did my nails because apparently they kept changing themselves one had to attend someone else one didn't know how to paint! I was so frustrated when i had actually told them i wanted them to be quick! Such a disappointment. Would never go there again! read more

Great prices, great job, extremely friendly staff! Original reviews were not great, so I was hesitant to go there, but I have had nothing but great experiences since April 2016. It's a business with timing based on needs of other clients, so sometimes you have to wait a bit or a mistake is made due to misunderstanding, but any time that has happened to me the staff have been apologetic and have reduced prices for me. The place is definitely not the same as it was in 2015. Worth a try for everyone. read more
