Visited for a co-workers leaving lunch today (Jan 29th 14). Table was pre booked for 16 people, when we arrived they had the booking in the wrong name and no tables were set out to accommodate our party. No great issue there as numbers had reduced a little anyway. They soon had tables sorted for us and we waited no longer than 5 mins to be seated which was pretty good going.
Decor was standard Bella Italia chain style. The place was clean enough and we were seated so we could see straight on into the kitchen, which looked clean and the team in there certainly looked like they were well experienced.
It seemed to take an age for our server to come and take a drinks order, eventually he did and then it seemed to take an awful long time for the drinks to arrive. We were there at noon dead on and the place was occupied by 8 other diners so not especially busy.
After another long wait we were asked to order, we then waited for a long long time for the food to come out. When it did arrive it was hot and fresh and tasted great.
Overall, the food was real good, service was friendly but slow, we were there 2 hours nearly and had to skip dessert due to lack of time, lucky we didn't have starters or we could have been in there a lot longer!
The bill for 10 of us came to £102 thats taking into account a 30% off voucher that we took with us.
I would certainly return but not if I was in a hurry. read more
