Wasn't real thrilled with the service here. After my appointment was scheduled, I received a call from the stylist asking if we could push it back 30 minutes because they had an errand to run. No big deal...so I said sure. I arrived 10 minutes before the new appointment time and the doors were locked. Again, no big deal.... I was 10 minutes early so I waited....and waited. For 20 minutes I sat in my car when the stylist finally arrived. So, these are minor annoyances, but it set the tone for me. So, I showed my stylist several pictures of what I wanted. It turned out nothing like the pictures. I mentioned that I wasn't crazy about it and the stylist tried to make corrections, but at this point, I'm just done. I will likely not return to this salon. Maybe the other stylists are great! Maybe my stylist just had a bad day. But I likely won't be back read more

Well, I had an appointment for Monday at 11:00am. I got there at 10:50am and no one was there. I waited until 11:00am and still no one was there so I went home. At 11:15 I received a text message stating I missed my appointment! I called the shop and was told she got there at 10:55. NOT TRUE! I was there and no one else was there. I recently moved here and now I need to find somewhere else to have my cut/color done! URGH! read more

Called and set appointment to get my hair colored, choose this salon because it was supposed to be all about color, thus the name color studio. Appointment was set for 3 hours and $ 125.00. Got there and waited 30minutes for Autumn to get to me, she was busy doing another color job, when she seen how long my hair was she told me that it would be more $$. So I said okay. I was very clear about what I wanted, I wanted 3 colors red white and blue. I wanted it to start at the bottom of my bra and go down to the bottom of my hair, there was plenty of hair to create the effect of the flag. The appointment was at 11.30 and at 4.45 I am not even done, she bleached the hair and put the red and blue in but couldn't get it light enough for the white, she knew I was upset because she spent about 3 hours trying to blend colors together and couldn't get it right, so she set another appointment 5 days later to try and get the white color, the appointment was set for 10.00am, got there and no one was there, got a text from Autumn telling me she was running late because it was her turn to pick up breakfast. Now again she is late getting started. After the first appointment Autumn sent me several texts telling me she was sorry she couldn't get it light enough, she explained that white was not going to work and that she was going to have to bleach it and use Silver, which is what she did on the first visit unsuccessfully, I sent her several texts with links on how to do white hair, because she acted like white hair can't be done, even though there are multiple videos showing how to do white hair. She told me that she would order the white for my next appointment. On the second appointment she lead me to believe (in her text messages that she had ordered the white color) that she was going to use the white and even told me that it had been ordered. However that was a lie she went back to bleaching and adding Silver to try and get the effect of white, again she was unsuccessful, she got the hair lighter but not white, I had a appointment at noon that I was late for because it took more time trying to create a color verses using the white. When I left I thought that she had gotten it right, I went to my appointment and after getting home looked at my hair and realized that it was a several colors, Silver, pink, blonde and light blue, I sent her a text and told her after getting back home seeing it in good lighting that she still didn't have it right and that the hair was not even uniform with the length of the colors . ( While I was at the salon she wanted a picture of my hair and asked me to go outside so she can get a good picture with better lighting.) Also want to mention that I ran out to the grocery store to pick up a few items and a lady in the store had noticed my hair and asked me if I had done it myself, I told her no I had a salon do it, she made a face and politely handed me her card and said she could help me if I needed her to give her a call. How embarrassing that I spent all that time and money to be told that it looked like I did it at home. After sending her this message she told me she could not help me and there was nothing more she could do for me. She also mentioned that I was happy when I left the salon and that I needed to find someone else who can do what I wanted done. After 2 trips to Murphy and almost 8 hours and being told she had ordered the white that she never used, now that she had made a awful mess with my hair she was done with me. I was not happy to get the brush off after all I had been through. I called and spoke with the owner about being unhappy with the results and she told me that Autumn was a contractor who worked at the shop, I told the owner I was going to stop the payment on my credit card and I was not happy, she said she would talk with Autumn and get back with me, she never did however Autumn sent me a text telling me she would refund $70.00 of the $170.00 I paid because she had used a lot of product and that was all she was doing. Well this is unacceptable, I am not the color expert that she is trained to be and she should have never used as much product as she did trying to get it right, instead she should have educated herself on how to get the color I wanted, not kept using products trying to mix the right colors. It is truly her fault that she used a lot of product not mine and I don't feel I should have to pay for it and live with the mess she created. The take away from all of this is, Bella Color salon in Murphy nc, maybe good at highlighting hair but not at color, to call themselves a color salon is laughable. Autumn doesn't have the skill level to do color design and the owner has not taken any responsibility for someone who works out of her shop, so if you go there and are not happy no one cares once you pay they are done with you happy or not. read more

Well worth the trip; I'm not one for "salon-time" but today was completely painless and the results were fantastic. My hair was a definitely a challenge & Autumn was more than up for it-I walked out with 200% improvement; beautiful, healthy hair. Only thing I'm sorry about is that I'm just in town visiting family & will have to find someone back home to maintain the look I have today.
