Palermo Soho basically might as well be Portland, right down to the cute little hipster freebie map…read morethat you can pick up in its boutiques and cafes. Trippin' Store is no exception: an adorable shop packed full of funky art prints, cool bags, cute shoes and apparel, and fun novelty gifts.
When I walked in, I went right for the big shelf of colorfully printed backpacks and messenger bags -- so cute you might just want to replace your old carry-on for the flight home! But don't overlook the charming art prints hanging on the wall and stacked in tubs below, which would be unique and inexpensive souvenirs for the folks back home.
As you work your way back through the store, you'll see clothes and shoes (mostly women's), housewares and decor, and gifts and stationery. It's all very nicely displayed and there's a lot to see, and you're going to want it all, so pace yourself. The employees were patient with my awful Spanish when I had a question about a super-cute pair of watermelon shoes -- sadly, they were out of my size.
Don't be put off by the strange-sounding name, this is a fun and well-curated shop with tons of cute artsy stuff! You can do an entire trip's worth of gift shopping here and then go relax at one of the cool nearby cafes and bars.
