The pro we encountered in the shop was very friendly, accommodating, and respectful to our group. I have been playing golf for 21 years and have a good understanding of golf etiquette and have played courses all over the country. Unfortunately, for the first time ever I experienced chauvinism on a golf course. We were four ladies with one cart so we could take turns walking. On one hole, three of us jumped in the cart to speed up play for about 100 yards, the remaining time one or two people were in the cart. On the ninth hole I had to wait for the pair in front of us (whom we let play thru earlier) and then for the fairway mower as he did not move to the side and let us tee off. As we were finishing our putts on the green, the group behind starting hitting up onto the green. A man rolled up and we apologized for the slow play and he said it was "a good day until he saw four women playing with one cart". The arrogant remarks continued, words were exchanged, and he told us to "go back to Gillette", which implied we were trash. I asked for his name and he boasted that he was an employee. Several years ago Buffalo Golf Club cleaned house of the codger's that ran the course, but it appears as if they missed one. I've played this course for many years as my Grandparents live in Buffalo. If Tom is working, I recommend driving a little further down the road to Sheridan where you will be treated with respect.
