I stopped in and spoke to Robert who assured me he would do everything in his power to avoid me having to pay "new retail" for a hearing aid. After doing some digging he found that my warranty literally had a few days before it expired. He cleaned my ear canals and the one hearing aid that I had left. Here is the first surprise. Robert simply said to stop by in a couple of weeks and we should be good to go. I did so today and I now have two perfectly functioning hearing aids. Second surprise. Again cleaning but he asked me how I use the devices. I told him I like classical music and was headed to Carnegie Hall next month for a concert. He told me Carnegie Hall has a loop and gave me a loop setting for my hearing aids. Holy Viola! It can't get better than this. Jeff Merta

I finally got an appt for today. The owner, Kenneth, was helping me today. When I arrived he called me back. He isn't much for small talk, but I'm ok with that. He checked out my device and hands it back and says, "it's dead". Then tells me that he can send it out for repair, for $400, but they might not repair it because they may be older than 5 years old. But doesnt look up the serial number. Doesnt look at my file at all. Certainly doesnt make a call to ask. After more awkward silence, I inquire about the 2 discount plans. He says that he doesnt know and just stares at me. I start to get upset. Because this man is not helping me and just awkwardly staring. I pick my stuff up, saying, "this is awkward", and he tells me he is trying to help me, and doesn't understand my attitude. Then says, "you just want me to do the work for you." If I am planning on spending money in a store, thousands of dollars, I expect you to do more than awkwardly stare. Never again. Too bad Jaime isn't there anymore.

He hadn't been wearing them for quite awhile and the last time he did, one was making a high pitched noise. Debbie warmly welcomed us. She took the hearing aids, checked them out, cleaned them, and put in new batteries. With a gleam in her eye, she told my husband she wasn't going to charge him today and he had to promise to come back in 3-4 months to have them checked again. She was delightful. And as for the previous comment. There is a Jamie there now.
