I recently bought a kitten (see profile pic :0) ) and needed to register him with a vet. Although I have been previously registered with another vet, a friend has recommended the millenium way practice to me, so I thought I would give them a call. The receptionist i spoke too was brilliant. really helpful and friendly, and helped me choose the right care package for my kitten. I ended up paying a one off fee for all his vaccinations, treatments and micro chipping for the first year of his life (costing me a fraction of the individual costs). The care and treatment he has received so far has been brilliant (including treatment for a post vaccination reaction, all part of the package) and I would not dream of going anywhere else now!

There is a large waiting room, so it is easy to keep the cats away from dogs etc. There is a small car park out the back, or you can park in the road. The animals are well cared for and I would definately recommend using this vet if you are in the area. The vets is set in an old house and is spacious. They frequently have special offers for booster jabs and routine operations like neutering. They also usually have offers on for chipping.

My pooch had his final appointment this week and still went in every time excited. The vet was super lovely and dealt with everything so perfectly. Even calling me a few days later to check on me. They've a decent sized car park so parking right outside isn't a problem - important when you've got a sick dog or cat in tow. They offer a very friendly and professional service and I've got nothing but praise for them. You can run an 'account' there too if you're a regular which means you don't have to pay up front. They're very efficient at sending out reminders for annual vaccinations etc which helps me a lot. Our cat has been through their 'weightwatchers' program as he was getting a little porky and he achieved his target weight without any hassle. They sell a range of pet foods (Hills etc) for a variety or animals plus lots of pet accessories too. Price-wise I think they compare well - veterinary treatment is never cheap but the prices seem fair.

It's never fun having to go to the vets, not for the owners, not for the pets. But the Woolpack is…read morea very good veterinary surgery, their opening times are very good - even on weekends. It's a fairly new place to the area, taking over what used to be the Little Chef/Burger King by the by-pass. With that it is large, roomy and modern, not overly clinical and not terrifyingly silent like some vets. They have a number of vets here and you don't tend to wait very long, they really do care about the animals here. Sadly I know this all too well from experience when earlier this year we had to take a pet there to be put to sleep. But the fact that the vet herself cared meant a lot. I've been to other vets where it's just a job, they don't get attached, not even for a second. And though that's good for them it's not so great for the owners of the animals in pain. But here, here they care so much. The pet we bought in was just a young little hamster, but they treated her like she was the most important thing at that moment and tried their very best for her. Alas in the end there was nothing they could do, but the fact that they tried so hard and cared so much does still touch me to this day. This is a fantastic surgery, and long may it be here.

The Woolpack is in my opinion the best practice in our area and i would trust them with my own life!!
