The staff was superfriendly but…read moreas everytime at daMatteo the latte (or espresso with skimmed milk) was just about warm. it gets cold if you are trying to do something else beside having coffee, i e reading, talking, eating. This time it was less crowded, hardly any customers at all and I was hit by the boring environment. The room is long and narrow and doesn't seat many customers in the main room. You can sit in the leather shop or on upper floor (indoor patio). One thing I didn't notice last time was that the tabletops are made of leather! Upstairs - feel welcome to sit sidebyside in a long row. Naaah. One star for staff and one star for really good espresso though too cold, but one star off for boring environment, one star off for lousy selection of sandwiches at a rip off price and one star off for not accepting AMEX.
