I've never needed to get anything framed ever, so I did the 'wonder around town in blind hope' approach to finding a framing store. Snappy Snaps offered a great framing service. They offered to order in the appropriately sized glass fronts for them or better still reprint them to a more reasonable shape. They were a great help and were able to reprint and frame them within 2 days.

I wondered in here because I was on the Boucher Road, doing a bit of Yelping and thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. This wasn't really the shop for me. I need something small and by all means basic, but this really is a store for the professional and at most the avid amateur. Their SLR cameras were the best you could buy and had the price tags to show it. They also stocked reflective sheeting to improve lighting and the huge beaming lights to shine on it. If your serious about your photos and want to get only the best then its for you. For me, to Argos!

The staff were brilliant. The guy was sensitive to my obviously crazy upset at the damage to an inanimate object and discussed with me my options for repair. He took it and sent it off, quoting a turnaround of 3 weeks. Within a week it was back, fixed, and they even put a new eye-bit (technical term obviously) on for free, and it was much cheaper than getting a replacement. The guys in here know their stuff and clearly have a passion for what they do and I'll be back in a heartbeat.

One of them helpfully recommended Jessop's as a kind've last resort so I trudged over here without much hope of a solution. The assistant was really helpful and he was able to tell me in no uncertain terms that this type of memory storage wasn't made any more and my best bet would be to try and get some 2nd hand on eBay. Not exactly the best out come but at least I got a bit of resolution. Pros: Very helpful staff. Cons: Smallish shop.

It's the usual on offer. Developing counter, frames and the like on offer and machines which do your developing for you. That's really all I needed, 6 images printed with perhaps a couple as a backup. I've a small 2gb SD card at the moment and all was fine with the self serve system, although it seemed to take a bit longer than machines I've used in the past. Developing was quick and painless too, cheap and cheerful and the image quality was bang on. There's not a whole lot that can go wrong with an establishment like this. Digital photography has made the entire procedure of processing images almost impossible to mess up.

When I got there I explained my intention to the attentive assistant who immediately told me the 16gb SD cards are useless, apparently they always crash and they are difficult to scroll though - she was helpful and showed me how to insert the card, upload and scroll through the prints. I stood scrolling for ages and I noticed the more you buy the less you pay - I was therefore gearing up to buy loads of my cute nephew. After about ten minutes the pictures all uploaded and I couldn't find my pictures anywhere - yes, I'm a fool - I bought the wrong SD card. The woman just laughed it off when I apologized for wasting her time. She was really nice and even complimented me on a photo of me that she caught a glimpse of. I would recommend this express counter for help with your prints and even advise on the best equipment to use - I overheard a male member of staff giving another customer hints and tips on how to use his fancy camera.

We wanted a photo of our baby ( 3 months old) and the photographer was brilliant with her, when she started to get fed up, he took a break, he was fun, had toys, was fantastic with our baby! He had his work cut out as she wasnt really big enough to sit up or smile properly but he managed to get loads of good photos. The staff are amazing, cant do enough for you, studio is great too, clean and has facilities for changing clothes, i can not fault them at all when taking the photos. We got a phone call 2 weeks later to come pick our photos, they had it all set up in a slide show in a real comfy, homely room. we picked our photo and there was no pressure at all from them! we were told we were welcome to call back anytime to get other copies of photos etc. W received our photo and it is the best photo of our baby, with a lovely frame (which you have mulitple choice to pick from). All in all I could not praise them enough for all their help and work. Parkway photography should be very proud of their buisness and i would recommend them to anyone in an instant!

Anyways, having been approached by a Venture representative whilst out shopping one day, and given a 'free' photo session voucher and photo package, my family and I decided to book an appointment for my mum's big birthday. I usually *never* stop for these people - they annoy the life out of me - but I was caught unawares this time. I am glad I was though. We booked our appointment and headed to the Lisburn Road for our photo shoot. Since it was my mum's birthday, I had decided to bring copious amounts of balloons. The studio looked like 'Fun House' by the time I was done with it... The photographer was quite possibly one of the charming people I have ever met. Really lovely and friendly. She took numerous photos of us - all together, my sister and I, individual ones, mum and dad, pictures with the balloons (hurrah!)...and boy, was it fun. Pose after pose...every girl's dream really. Even though he didn't let on, my dad had a ball too. We were called back a week or two later to choose our free photo. Which we got. Plus two individual ones of myself and Joanne, which were super expensive, but really quite stunning. The three pictures now take pride of place in our dining room - a cheerful reminder of a delightful evening out. Undoubtedly the best bit of the whole experience was when my mum had a visitor round and brought her into the dining room. The girl glanced at the pictures, instantly asking, "Are those two girls models?" You can imagine my mum's retort. This didn't sway the visitor though. "They should be", affirmed she. Thank you Venture, thank you.

I hate things like this! They are always awkward, with pointlessly well dressed people smiling aimlessly in the direction of the camera. But here they do things differently. Encouraged to dress casually, they let us just run around and do what we want whilst they almost documented the whole thing. It was a fantastic experience. The photos turned out fantastically and we really do look like we having lots of fun which gives them a more real feel compared to the usual static images of faces. Being to young to be aware of the cost I'm not sure how much it was, but according to other reviewer who have been in more recent times, it seems reasonable for the service offered. If your going to get something as cheesy as a family photo done, then you might as well enjoy yourself as well!
