History

Established in 1980.

Lake City Florida School of Arts Academy was founded in 1980 by Dr. Anthony J. Buzzella. His goal was to create a safe, bully-free private school in Lake City, Florida with small class sizes to help assist students with extra help from well qualified teachers.

Meet the Business Owner: Anthony B.

Dr. Anthony Buzzella is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami-Dade County where he excelled in both academics and the arts. In addition to numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, Dr. Buzzella has been a professional musician and entertainer since the age of sixteen. Through the years, he has shared the performance stage with several legendary musicians and entertainers including: Pete Fountain, Eddie Miller, Grandpa Jones, Alfonso Levy, Kenny Rogers, Jerry Clower, Chubby Wise, Tim Allan, Danny Rubio, Tyler Jackson, Rusty Hammerstrom, and many others. Buzzella has served the local community for over 35 years as an educator and community leader including two terms on the local School Board.
