The shop owner is exceptionally friendly and always happy to chat (especially about the pieces in store). It has a great selection of expensive and unusual gold and platinum but also round one side has cheaper dress jewellery and work by local makers. This section has some unusual pieces, from ultra-modern to hippie/gothic styles. The owner is very friendly, items are wrapped lovingly in coloured tissue papers and ribbons so makes for perfect gifts. They also provide a repairs and alterations service, which is sent off site so not on the spot. I had a very delicate gold chain altered and she took a lot of time to get it right when I was in the shop and the work was completed with great care.

They are more edgy than some other high street jewellers I could mention. Arty, elegant and on the bespoke side. Though obviously they are not. However, I should imagine all the jewellers may take on commissions. The shop itself is elegant and dark with each glass box of items lit up to reveal the range. A colleague had her engagement ring from this shop and it was truly a work of art. Under-stated and perfect. I personally can't afford (nor do I desire a lot of) the jewellery they sell - one-off silver pieces of very contemporary design (I'm more of a wooden beads or a costume jewellery kinda gal). Still, they've been v.successful, pioneering jewellery design in the West. And it isn't just for the ladies as the men's stuff is chunky, funky and cool. The thing I like about this shop as opposed to other jewellers is how it caters for tastes right across the market. Having recently returned from South America I got quite involved with crystal healing - an alternative form of therapy. Out there crystals are often sold on street corners and in markets in a less than glamorous setting, where the focus is on the healing value of the stone. It is quite interesting therefore to see the stark juxtaposition of such a well kept and orderly shop in Bristol. One of a chain of 24 shops in the South West, this branch focuses on jewellery, fossils and crystals. Using sources from all over the world they tend to deal in only grade A stones - that is, to say, the finest. After a stage of crafting the final product ends up here. The thing I like about this shop is despite the high street demeanour the staff have kept a very holistic and down to earth approach to their work, recognising the different worlds of people involved with this market. From a regular buyers point of view there are a lot of very nice stones and fossils here at some very affordable prices and behind the counter, a wealth of information.

The prices vary but most items are really competetively priced. Not only do they have a wide range of beautiful jewellry and watches for you, they also have quite an extensive range of gift items as well. Unfortunately it was not available but Ben took my details. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I received a call so soon from Samantha informing me that they now had the particular watch. Even though it was click and collect due to the lockdown, Samantha and her colleague were very welcoming. Samantha went through all the details of my new watch. Inside expect some very nice displays of all sorts of fine jewellery ranging right through the price bracket from £12 rings all the way up to £4000 rings. It is because this is an independent store that they can cover all aspects of the market. They can afford to be polite, friendly and personal. They really do have something for everyone and provide this wonderful service through a very unique, individual presence.
