I've been to their other location on West McNab, found it rather good, but note that it has a higher Yelp rating than this location. To make a long story short and my story is near the duplicate of Yelper Tiaryn also reviewed here. I merely stopped by to get a bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin along with some Fever-Tree Tonic, which I was hopeful they would have to take with me to a party. All of the sudden while looking to see if they had Fever-Tree Tonic a horrid loud argument broke out and with the threats made it had every indication that it was going to turn violent. So, before it did, or if it was ever going to actually happen, I wasn't going to stick around for it and left. I wouldn't about making a review with this content in it, but since it seems to have already happened to others, it's time for me to chime in on it. Also, for being within a seemingly decent area and an OK looking strip plaza, Tubby's liquor could really use some cleaning and sprucing up. And it is on that count I'm going to go a two star "I've seen better."

I didn't notice them when I walked in but as I was cashing out the robbery was going down. I mused that all I needed was a good cab for tonight's fun activities..lol.. the sales girl gave me a high five. I will let you know how I enjoyed the two bottles that I bought one is called Valley of the Moon and the other one is a Reserve Cabernet call block 314. Can't wait to drink them and have some fun. It's crazy to think old people will steal vodka but I guess there are those kind of people in this world. All together my two bottles came out to $40 which i think is a fine deal. Block 314 was a good wine not spectacular but good...considering 2011 was the best year for Napa valley wines...we drank the entire bottle last night..with the exception of a few sips in each of our glasses that was left after finishing the bottle off. Still haven't tried Valley of the moon yet but when we do I will give you a heads up on how that one was. Love sharing great wine with special friends!!!! Update on Valley Of The Moon: This 2009 Sonoma wine had a really good taste it really did taste like all the ingredients they had displayed on the description like black cherry, black currants, cedar, bay leaf and black pepper wrapped around black plum and black tea. It was a great wine and I enjoyed it a lot and so did my guest. We polished the bottle off with ease. I would buy it again although I enjoyed Block 314 a little better because of the taste(it was a little more subtle) .

They even carry snacks and cheese. The lady at the cash register is friendly but not much of a help, she tells me she does not drink at all. I'm undecided wether that's a good thing or a bad thing for an employee there. One very nice gentleman asks me if I need help but when I tell him I'm browsing does not bother me again. I leave with a large bottle of gin and 4 bottles of champagne. You must check out the huge gilt glass cabinet with the " Armenian selection" it's liquor in shaped glass bottles. How about a booze filled fish or shoe? Not strange enough? Maybe a very large AK47? At under $70 I was tempted to buy one just could not think of a special someone in my life to gift it to... While in Puerto Rico I picked up a taste for the Magna beer, so I stopped by the Beer Shop to see if they had any. Unfortunately they didn't, but when enter I was given a warm greeting and kindly advised that the nearest distributor for Magna was in Miami and with low demand for it, not worth bothering to supply Broward County. Though I didn't get what I wanted, I found out why and had a chance to explore the Beer Shop. Even for a beer shop it's dumpy, run down, dated and with the floors and areas actually being dirty. Matter of fact so much so I didn't want to check expiration dates on anything and I can assure you I really wouldn't be interested in any food products they have, such their rotating thing of hot dogs. With dirty floors and seemingly stray boxes of stuff cluttering the aisles it's to me an "Eeeek, me thinks not," One Star, but as their clerk was so friendly and helpful I'll put it down merely as a "Meh!
