The pizza was also quite good and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience all the more enjoyable. However, what truly made the evening unforgettable were the owner's stories - such good craic. His humor and anecdotes added an extra level of warmth to the already cozy atmosphere of the pub. However, friends who live in Dublin saw I was here and urged me to stay for dinner saying that their families try to get over here periodically to eat. So I stayed. The view is spectacular. It is just off the cliffs and the ocean and islands are spread beyond the windows. I had the traditional lamb strew. It was rich,hearty, and filled with lamb. It could have perhaps fed 2 or maybe 3 people. It was delicious served with homemade brown bread. I had the apple tart and cream for dessert on the recommendation of the server. It was likewise excellent. I was told it was local and never frozen and it tasted like it. The food, service, and view are all excellent.
