Beckie's is cozy, warm, peaceful and has authentically friendly service, you feel at home here. The food is phenomenal comfort food. I posted some photos of the food we got, but suffice it to say the food was hot, fresh, delicious. Gooey cheese in my grilled cheese and hot, fresh, properly salted French Fries. It was the best mushroom soup I've ever had, absolutely delicious! We topped it off by splitting a piece of home made cherry pie with ice cream. Yum! Stop here if you ever get the chance! The staff, the drinks, and the food were awesome. I wish I had their waitress at every restaurant I visit. Damn good service! Cup of chili for me; cup of stew for my wife. Both came with a slice of cornbread that was so tasty. We split the "Hunter" burger and fries. Good burger and excellent fries. Best part though, they not only cut the burger in half for us, but they put it on separate plates with fries on both. That's the best service you can get, when they anticipate your needs. The variety and kinds of pie is outstanding! My wife had apple, I had "very berry". Both with a scope of vanilla ice cream. Fantastic! Wonderful ambiance in the restaurant. If you're going to Crater Lake, a stop at Beckie's is a must! The burgers are delicious and filling, served with their delicious home-made potato chips. On my most recent trip I had the Abbott Creek burger, which has bleu cheese and Swiss cheese. Ummm! I find the burgers so filling that I have no room for pie, so I recommend stopping for lunch on the way to Crater Lake and on the way back stop for pie. They are famous in this region for their homemade pies, especially huckleberry which is available in Sept. Service was good, order taken in timely manner by friendly waitress and served in reasonable amount of time. It has always been an enjoyable experience for me and my family. read more

This place is fantastic for the remote location. The food is delicious and if you are vegetarian they offer Beyond Meat patties on their excellent (and large) burgers! Also if you are vegetarian...this is by far your best option if you are close to Crater Lake. read more

Yesterday we went for a late lunch. The server was great and the food also good, however, the hostess was absolutely HORRID!! I have never had such a rude hostess, rolling her eyes and acting as if we put her out to be seated. I am unsure how she has any job let alone one in customer service. I was appalled at how we were spoken to and to see her rude behavior to other guests as well was uncalled for. She really needs to be taught some manners and at 60 I would assume she would have some by then but apparently not! Just amazing to me she has a job!! read more

Fantastic place, great food, huckleberry cream soda is a must as are any of the homemade pies. Would have been 5 stars but our waitress , while not exactly rude seemed uninterested in being there. Wish we had sat in another section because the other staff seemed more engaging and friendly. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place to everyone. read more

Wow, reading some of the negative reviews below..... I want to reach out and bitchslap some of you. Seriously, the people that work there are as sweet as the pie. They are there to put out a great product and make you happy. We split the brisket sandwich. It was hands-down the best smoked brisket we had ever eaten. We are both ridiculously picky when it comes to barbecue. The brisket had a perfect smoky sweet char, it was butter soft, and melted in your mouth. Christopher runs the smoker across the street, I stopped and thanked him after we ate our sandwiches, it was that good. They are known for their huckleberry pie. Well, it was life-changing. The hostess and waitress were wonderful, accommodating, friendly and funny. We do go camping up that way from time to time, and will look forward to a beautiful slice of huckleberry or marionberry pie when we drive through. read more

We recently stayed at the Union Creek Resort this past weekend and had two meals at Beckie's. I have to say the service and food were phenomenal. We had dinner on Saturday night and our waiter Nathan was great! Very attentive and customer service was outstanding. The cook Julius nailed the perfect med well ribeye and everything had great flavor. Big portions as well. My boyfriend and I split the dinner and got some wings for an appetizer. (by the way those were amazing as well). I normally don't leave reviews but this little cafe needs to be recognized and praised. Breakfast was so good. Had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was truly made the way it is supposed to be from scratch. Kudos to Nathan & Julius you made our experience the best!! Did I mention the home made pies?? The food was good and they are very accommodating. I wanted three eggs and no toast, so one time the wait staff alllowed that it was an even trade, so no up-charge. Next time, not so lucky...extra buck something for another egg, even though no toast. While driving to Crater Lake, we got to a point where Beckie's was the only game in town prior to entering the park and it had been recommended by the info booth where we were staying in Ashland. The place was busy and they are known for their pies (didn't get any pie though). Servers were nice but the food took 2-3x longer than the typical restaurant or diner. After reading all the reviews, we tried this restaurant on our way to Crater Lake. The service was very slow. The burger was meh and the french fries we paid extra for were cold. By the time we received hot fries, the burger was gone. Had to ask multiple times for other items that we had ordered and did not receive with our food. The pie was nothing to write home about. When you're out in the middle of the woods, you're expectations drop cuz you're just happy to see food. And, typical of isolated diners, they know you're pretty much stuck...if you expect too much service when they're busy, you'll get a look or a huff. And you'll get diner food, nothing more. It's all about timing - we got there around 5pm, found the last parking spot by the ice cream store, ran ahead of two huge families and sat (all 4 of us) promptly. It was a bit of a wait to get our orders in, but the food was good. My advice is to stick to the burgers (buttered/toasted bun!). Tuna melt was just OK, but the BURGERS were really good! Beckie's is "OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE" So if your expecting 5 star "city" dining maybe this is not the place for you. Nice old time Cafe. Great burgers, soups made fresh from scratch everyday. Basic home cooking....not gourmet but always fresh and good. Have never had to ask for a refill on the coffee as the ladies keep it full. Unlike many gourmet coffee shops today that charge you a $1.00 for refills. The new owners don't care much about the staff so remember when you visit, your waitress most likely been on her feet for hours with NO breaks and she is doing her best to serve you. No breaks or lunches...not many of us would put up with that so be nice to the staff they are doing their best considering. Nice rustic place that fits in well for where it's located. Take the time to be nice to the help and you will be surprised just how friendly they are. Whole pies when in season range from $16-18.00 and are well worth it. read more

Its Diner food! They have vegetarian options and burgers. The food was as good as it gets for diner food. I am from WA and its traditionally priced for a burger and fries. We got the vegetarian burgers. They were cooked properly and delicious they buttered and toasted the buns too! The service was polite and prompt. The peanut butter pie was great too. We got two burgers, fries, and pies with one soda the bill was 30 dollars. I think thats just fine. I would eat here everytime I am in the area. read more

We stayed at a union Creek Resort for a few days and had the opportunity to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at Becky's Cafe. The staff is friendly. The cafe is cute and clean. Wonderful omeletts, homemade cinnamon rolls and French toast. Good burgers, ok fries, good homemade soup and wonderful homemade bread wheat and white fresh everyday. Great place on the way to Crater Lake! We went there starved after half a day of walking trails and driving in the park, and wasn't hoping it would have much to offer, oh were we wrong! This was my second visit to Beckie's, and the experience was as good as the first. We came for the pie, but we had an excellent dinner too. I had the grilled trout plate--the trout was perfectly grilled and served with fresh cooked vegetables, a baked potato, and excellent sourdough rolls. For dessert we had huckleberry and cherry pies.
