This plant makes herbicidal, insecticidal, and nutrient rich seed coatings for agricultural companies, as well as a few other products. They were bought by BASF in 2012, so not even sure if they are even called Becker Underwood anymore, or even if they are still in operation at this location. This may sound like I'm talking double talk, but the are actually a great place to work, but they do play favorites. The production supervisor is a great guy, but is known to play favorites, and hire one or two people over another simply because they are a neighbor or family friend, or a bit younger than a more qualified person. His second in command is very biased against temp workers, and spends most of his time flirting with the label maker (don't tell his wife though). They pay below the industry average for these positions but once you jump through all their hoops, you're pretty much a shoe in to be made permanent, so long as a buddy or neighbor kid of the supervisor isn't tying to get hired on at the same time. I would recommend this place, only don't go with temp to hire, go with direct hire only you'll have a better chance that way. read more
