Schegg is a very large and very extensive bakery that serves full coffee/breakfasts at 4-seater tables inside. This bakery sells sandwiches, crumbly croissants, hot breads, crullers, Lebkuchen, Christmas cookies, teas, Linzers, choco-bars, energy bars, groceries, cold cuts, meat-fillers, buns, salamis, mousse desserts, salty Canapés, meat open-face sandos, tuna sandwiches, Challah, 'Woodsmen's' breads, rustic loafs, ornate Christmas chocolates and onion/cheese pies, relishes, honeys and even some days pralines! Schegg is the real Swiss bakery, no doubt - ever. It is more than a bakery. Schegg is a one-stop shop that also (happens) to bake breads and rolls. If you are on a vacation, if you are skiing anywhere nearby, if you are a hungry wanderer, if you are off the road in a car on business, if a date is your immediate concern; or if you just want a banging Swiss bakery - give Beck Schegg a long try and maybe stay an hour at one of their tables.. The women/gals here are so friendly and amiable it is like being waited on in a dream. The staff is just legit the best and will in a no-nonsense way explain any ingredients or items. Eating breakfast at Schegg was a wonder of wonders. Schegg is better than breakfasts that once could get on a vacation at a 5 star Zagat-rated Paris joint. Beck Schegg is TRUE CLASS. So much variety.
