I came with three of my girl friends, thinking we would have a relaxing and clean experience. The heated pool is filled with poop particles. We thought it may had been one person in one area, no! Walking around it, it was FILLED with fecal matter. You could not look down into the water without seeing brown and yellow clumps, fibers, and specks. I know some hot springs will have minerals in it, but this was not that. I also experienced something extremely odd in the showers, there was moaning several times. And my friend saw throw up or another bodily fluid in the showers as well. The fact there is no worker maintaining the shower and spa area mind boggles me. I cannot believe my friends and I paid for this experience. I would NEVER recommend this spa to a friend or family member and hope this can help anyone who is deciding a spa to go to in Karlovy Vary.

This place has a great location right in the heart of Karlovy vary, close to many hotels,…read morerestaurants and the main shopping area. It is also a close walk to either bus station out of Karlovy vary. The pool itself is rather small and boring, only about four lanes and a bit crowded. The Saunas were in the locker room and were also small and crowded since they only fit 2-4 women at a time (and the ones in there are not concerned about getting out so you can have a turn). The prices are very affordable here, for an hour and a half of lap pool, dry sauna, wet sauna, whirlpool, showers and locker for 120 crowns. Where they get you is charging 80 crowns per person for a towel. And you are not allowed to reuse it if you make multiple trips here. I really only came here because I was already getting a facial done in the same building and wanted to see how nice the pool areas were. If you're looking to be impressed don't bother coming here!

I played as a professional basketball player for this club a *few* years back…read more This is a small gym, meant for club teams to play in and spectators to watch. It's easily accessible from the street, up a small grassy hill. There is parking near the pub. The gym itself has a lot of natural light and the seating is a few rows of bleachers, which puts you close to the game. It is a well maintained gym (new floors, fresh paint) and had a great group of regulars helping staff when I was there. Say "ahoj" if you see them. Locker rooms were small, but had individual lockers and showers for both teams. The pub next door has cheap pivo on tap (I swore I saw tanker trucks brining in beer). They also have a great selection of home-cooked meals, which were easily accesible during and after games. Best part about this gym is that it sits at the foot of a gorgeous forrest with trails. With 5-mile runs to the top, this was a nice facility to train in and around. The Karlovy Vary community supports its basketball klub. Check out a game if you're in town!
