on March 30th 2013: Being the awesome wife of 9 years that I am, I arranged with the hubby's friends to take him out for his Bday to a stripclub. Wanting to keep it fairly close by, we chose Beavers in Watford. At the door I asked if it was busy. The man said, "yeah its pickin up." Upon entering, I could tell it was dead. Maybe 8 people, 2 of which were dancers. And the Dancers?...oh my god... I would NEVER have expected women of that size and magnitude of exposed cellulite to be exposing so much of themselves like that. With the DJ/Owner blaring across a crappy mic that they have the "hottest" women there, it was like an early April fools joke. Still, we went in, at least we could get drinks right!? well no actually. Our group of 7 got 2 beers each, and one shot of tequila each. We paid to have my hubby taken on stage for a bday show and get spanked with a belt (since that's part of their show, might as well! right?!) . Now here's the tricky part... where I'm from, its not against the rules to take a picture or video unless it is visibly stated with signs up and being verbally informed of the club personnel. None of these things were posted or told to me or any member of my group. Therefore, when my husband got called up on stage, we got our camera's at the ready! The music started and the dancer began her show, we clicked a few pic's and then the music stopped and the DJ/Owner said over the mic "no pictures! the dance will not continue anymore!"
I went to the "dj" as the woman I arranged the dance with was conveniently NO WHERE to be found, and explained that we were not told that we weren't allowed to take photo's. He replied with " You're lying! You lie to me again and I'll kick you're whole "chink" group out!" to which I walked away and went to get the other TWO people that were with me when I arranged the dance. We all went back and they confirmed we had not been told a thing. He then told us "you all get the fuck out".
Now, excuse me if I'm mistaken, but part of being a good business man includes being understanding of situations, and polite yet firm if need be.
This Own, posing as the DJ as well (a clear sign the business is failing and he can't afford a decent sound system OR a real DJ), was quite aware of the truth of the situation and he knew we were never told a thing. I came to realize that this mans whole reason for NOT putting up the signs for "no photograghs or videos" was intentional, cheap, and a way for him to lure in unaware customers like us "foreign" ones, and con us out of the money we pay for a stage show, and ensuring they dont HAVE to give another show by making the foreign guy go last, for the last stage show of the night. And only allowing 3 dancers out of his entire employee list do stage shows.
Over the course of our 3 hour stay, we got to see 3 women actually dance on stage.... thats alot of empty stage time! And hubby got a 10 second dance on stage, followed by us willingly getting kicked out because we weren't just going to shut up and get ripped off by the fat old geezer wearing a grandpa sweater and short oily grey hair that he obviously hadn't washed or combed in quite a long time. Yes, that is the OWNER of a stripclub... whom you'd think would represent his club with a better attitude and cleaner appearance, but no... he honestly looked like a fat old greasy rapist.
I could have lived with the rudeness from him to me actually, but to call a group "chinks" is flat out racist. And FYI, I'm white! And aside from my husband being chinese, the rest of my group was Malaysian. So in turn, he insults my group, but moreover my husband... on his birthday too. This whole experience was entirely unacceptable, and I will be reposting this story absolutely everywhere I can to warn other people just how dishonest, hateful, and disgusting Beavers and its dancers are (sorry ladies, but none of you were all that nice to see. 14 stones is way too big to be squeazing into a 3 piece string of thread. too much beer gut and cellulite goin on .).
I hope you read this Mr Greasy Fat Pig of an owner. I was honestly open an unaware of your rules. And you were extremely ugly with me for no reason. A woman dressed in a classy knee length Jimmy Choo dress isn't exactly the cheap lying sort. Those sort would be outside your doors, in 6 inch heels and tight tube dresses exposing their every extra extra curve.
Shame on you sir. read more
