They have an excellent wine section with a specialist roaming around nearby :) As a regular I have come to know the people that work there so it makes the experience all the more enjoyable. I go shopping on my motorbike so it helps that I can pack my rucksack and saddle bags as I go rather than all at the end of my shop at the checkout. Enjoy :)

Because I couldn't make my mind up and choose from the many delicacies on offer, I bought a second lunch a bread bun with a kofta lamb kebab inside topped with spicy tomato sauce. They do several types of stuffed bun like this and they're the only place I know to do this. Utterly delicious. Previously I have bought many steaks, countless pounds of sausages, bacon, chicken and pork. All of it has been excellent. Cockburns have recently started making pork and black pudding pies. Clarke's have a really good selection of meat wehther you like it sliced, diced, chucked, minced, casseroled, braised and the prices are not silly. The pork, beek and lamb I have bought from there has all been from Wales. The mince meat I had looked low in fat. Lamb is always my favourite. If you are not a great cook, its very hard to go wrong with a pre prepared lamb kebab on the skewer with different coloured peppers. Their home made beef burgers are just 70p each. They are more than happy to give you the meaty facts if you want to go in and ask about what you are buying. Bon appetite.
