They use the cheap product. Most of the staff have very little experience. if they see you regularly they pressure you into using they're package plans. Which are completely useless your really not saving on anything it's only a small 5% or 20%. Please don't go here for convenience. I alwayyyyyys go to Homa for my eyebrows. Today, she was not available (this is where I should have just left). I asked for someone just as experienced to do my eyebrows, and told the lady at the front that I have trust issues when it comes to my eyebrows. Adwena, the lady at the front desk volunteered herself to do them. By her confidence I was persuaded to take her word for it and trust her. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!! She went back and forth from eyebrow to eyebrow "making it perfect." As soon as I looked in the mirror tears literally rolled into my eyes. I told her I wanted them as thick as possible and squared. I left with the 2014 thin circular eyebrows. The worst part about it is that they aren't even symmetrical!!! I look like a clown!!! & she had the audacity to ask to tweeze some even more!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE. I specifically told them to not touch the shape as my brows are my prized possession. I told them I had been growing them out and to not change the shape or take off any part of the brow and that I just wanted the stray hairs to be cleaned up. She then told me they weren't even and I stated I did not care because I wanted the shape to remain. She's waxed off half of my brow and it's going to take months to get back. This was my second time going to Beauty First for my eyebrows. Both times I was able to walk in without an appointment. The staff seem to be very friendly. Adwena did my eyebrows this time and I was happy with the result. They were cleaned up, but not over plucked. And the colour went well with my skin tone and hair colour. I came here yesterday to get my eyebrows threaded... She did an ok job tidying them up: I have no complaints in terms of my eyebrows. I said " okay, I'll get my upper lip waxed as well please". She placed boiling hot wax on my upper lip and waxed the same area 4 times.... As a result she ripped off the skin on my upper lip in 3 places. I am in HORRIBLE pain. When I confronted her about this, she said that I should have told her that I couldn't be waxed in the same spot more than once!!! She blamed ME for her terrible job.... No no NO!!! You don't do that to anyone period... One wax per spot. I would have accepted an apology but that was extremely embarrassing and now I get to walk around with pieces of skin missing from my upper lip. First of all I want to clarify that I am a waxing expert newcomer to Canada that does not practice wax on herself. So after a long, skeptic wait I went to Beauty First to get my brows, upper lip and armpits; the experience was GREAT! A little pricey (I will have to adapt to that though) but simply great. Most of the time I am happy with my brows after coming here. I wouldn't necessarily say that the service here is personable - I've had both good and bad experiences with the service. One notable thing is that they are always trying to upsell - whether it be a new makeup they are selling or another type of product - after they've done your brows, and it seems in-genuine at times. read more

Tonight I had a girl name Nagham do a tint and threading and she did an amazing job! She was friendly and she really listened to how I wanted my brows done and took her time to do a perfect job. I came at a busy time but she didn't seem rushed which I really appreciated. My brows have never looked so good. I will book an appointment with her every time I go. I went to the Mapleview Mall location and I really wish that I had just stayed far away! I was attended to right away. The technician appeared very young and unsure of herself. She barely spoke, apart from asking which service I wanted. I told her that I wanted to clean up my eyebrows and to just follow the shape that was already established. She took an extremely long time completing the service. She completely ripped the skin off under my left eyebrow. It stung at the time but I didn't see the extent of the damage until the following day!!!!! The worst service ever. I am just thankful that my daughter was not injured when she got her eyebrows done! The customer service here is excellent by the manager - however, the quality of the facial I received from Nadia in Burlington left much to be desired. She did a lot of work on just one part of my face. I don't go for facial regularly but I do feel like a thorough job should be done!! Had my cheeks waxed for the first time. I told her just to get rid of the peach fuzz and she ended up taking off all of my sideburns. I told her I've been trying to grown my eyebrows out for 2 years to get them thicker and only to take off a little... but of course she made them super thin. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!! If there was a negative star option, it would apply here. The worst "spa" experience I have ever had. I went in to have my eyelashes curled and tinted. Big mistake! They were a half hour late to take me and once in the room for the procedure, Aman did not go over any details with me as to what to expect. She jabbed me in the eye twice with whatever mechanism they use to push your lashes up and then spilt the treatment chemicals directly into my eye! It was so bad that she had to remove all of the product and flush my eye out. It was an absolutely terrifying experience and very painful. I thought I was going to lose my vision in that eye. With hardly an apology, she continued her destruction of my lashes. After 2.5 hours of laying in the bed for what I was told was a 45 minute procedure it was finally over. I had vision problems for days, there was strings of cotton stuck in my eyes and eyelashes and my lashes were bent in every direction but the right one. It has been about a month since it was done and I still cannot wear mascara as my lashes look crazy from her so called treatment. I called to get a refund as I was so upset by the experience and the look of the lashes. They refused to give me my money back and offered that I go back in for another treatment. I thought that was hilarious. Who would put themselves through that twice?! I emailed customer service and head office. They did not even have the decency to email me back. I have had some bad experiences with customer service before but never like this. They could care less if they made it right. Terrible service paid 170 dollars for fake eyelashes that didn't even last 8 days. When u went back in they accused me of using chemicals to wash my face and that must be why they are falling out! I've had it done 3 times prior (Not here) so I am not stupid and it lasted 6 weeks! They flat out refused to give me my money back they said they would redo them and I refused in the end they gave me a gift card for 70 dollars like I'm gonna go back as if...
