Came here for a pre-wedding mani with my girlfriends and couldn't have been happier with the service and experience! There was a group of 5 (3 bridesmaids, a bride and mother of the bride) and in total we got 5 manicures, 3 pedicures, a blow out, and 2 wax services. Basically we were camped out from about 3:30-5:30. I only got a manicure but it was great that we could come to Beaushae for a one stop shop experience (get your hair done, nails beautified...and some hair removed all at the same time!). The nail part of the salon is run by a very sweet couple who were patient and detailed in their work. They can do a basic mani as well as the more complicated designs, gels, etc. Included in their service were keratin gloves and a light arm massage. The only negative is they only have two hand stations and 2 pedicure stations which means if you have a big group and you all want to be in and out at the same time and get the same service...well, that's not going to happen. It worked out for us that some girls wanted pedis and some wanted just manis - two girls could get pedis and 2 manis while a 5th did her hair. But be aware of this as your make your reservations / plans. Overall though I'll definitely be back! Great location too by an Acai cafe, Starbucks, JJ Bakery and Lee's Sandwiches!! read more

Got my hair done with Angela today. She did a balayage and haircut. She is very patient and very knowledgeable. I loved that she made sure my hair wouldn't be damaged after bleaching by adding a lot of hair protectant. I've been waiting for Yelp reviews to come in on this hair salon but seems like no one's ever there, so I decided to take the plunge yesterday. I was over an hour late for my appointment, but just as I suspected, no one was there.. sweet! Parking was a challenge though since the Lees Sandwich just opened next door. The floor plan inside was wide open unlike those small and crowded Korean hair salons nearby. Maybe it was a little too exposed - from the hair wash stations, I can see the entire angle of the store including their photography section. But I'm not here to rate the store layout... My hair cut was done in 40 minutes by Paul. He didn't ask me much questions or chattered with me which was a plus. I just want to relax at hair salons, and not deal with the Q&A's stylists constantly ask how you'd want your hair cut, how short, which way, or try to converse with you like a friend. Not Paul - I simply asked him to trim my hair, my bangs, and layer if necessary. Like a pro, he made my bangs look un-fobbish, gave me a trim exactly the length I wanted, and layered my hair slightly for an edgy look.. for $35 which is cheaper than other places I used to frequent. I'm reminded again and again by the receptionist that he's from New York's Kim Sun Young.. but who cares if he's from NY or Guantanamo Bay, as long as I liked my hair cut, in and out of there under an hour, and pay less than elsewhere! Before I review Beaushae, I'd like to note that I've been getting my haircut from Haena for the past 8 years. So I'm totally not biased. Beaushae opened in July of 2013 after Haena & co. finally reached the end of a 10-year lease(war) next door at Para Palm. If you have ever been to Para Palm, you know how awkward it was every time you set foot in there. It was divided into 2 sections: Haena's on the left, crazy-lady on the right. "Good vs. Evil" sorta deal. Now Haena & company are on their own at Beaushae! What an incredible upgrade. The shop is very open, has much more business, no more tension in the air, better quality equipment, and plays better music. Seriously, I am so happy for them and will continue to drive back to Torrance from wherever I am (used to come here from San Diego during college, now from Irvine) for my haircuts. I pay around $25-30 which is a decent price for men's haircut. If you're looking for a new place to get your hair done, check this place out! PS. Their shampoo station chair is so comfortable. I need to get me one of those at home. read more

I had gotten my nails done a few times at the salon that used to inhabit Beaushae's storefront (it's been a while!), and I figured I'd roll through for a mani-pedi on a Friday evening, not realizing the change in businesses. What a happy mistake! Uk is a nail master, and, after my first experience, I hereby vow I'm never going to anyone else. I've been getting my nails done (albeit infrequently) for around thirteen years now, and I can say Uk gave me the best mani-pedi I've EVER had. EVER. For a meager $40, he spent a meticulous hour-and-a-half trimming, filing, cuticle-clipping, callous-scraping, massaging (with hot stones, no less!), keratin-glove-treating, and painting to perfection. Literally, my nails and toes were transformed into those of a virtual nail polish model; I can't stop looking at them! I made the novice mistake of not specifying my services (beyond "manicure and pedicure") or asking about pricing before hand, and spent part of my lavish foot and leg massage worrying I'd owe $100+ after all was said and done, but not so! It was so reasonable (again, just $40!), I couldn't believe it. Amazing. It's probably a good idea to call ahead or make an appointment as there are only two pedicure chairs, but that's a small price to pay for such amazing service. I'll definitely be back! read more

This review is for the Nail Salon. Song and UK have turned me into a lifetime customer. Their care, attention to detail, and speed are truly impressive. My gel manicures never chip or lift off and stays on for a full 2 weeks (my nails grow super fast and I can't stand long nails). I especially enjoy the paraffin treatment and hot stone massage. Song's designs are intricate and really shows her passion for visual art. The salon is clean and super organized. A++ for me! read more

Just to start, I have been following the 2 pair duo for many years. Lancer took my wedding, family and son's birthday pictures while Haena did my wife's hair and makeup for our wedding. Also, I have been getting my haircut from her for over 10 years. Their new location is so much nicer and modern compared to their previous location even though it was just one door apart. What I learned throughout the years is that you get what you pay for.... and pictures are something you "DO NOT" want to base your decision on price but talent, experience and being reliable. I could confidently recommend this place to anyone! I can only vouch for the hair, makeup and pictures but I am sure nails & toes are a no brainier! =) read more

I came in for a blowout. Needed desperately for my hair to be curled for a wedding I was attending and didn't have time (or the know how for doing it myself). $40 for a 'do. Not bad considering I think it's around the same price as Drybar - and I don't have to drive all the way to El Segundo. Beaushae is around the corner from my house. It's located in the old location where BB Beauty was. It has almost the same set up, with...a Manicure/pedicure station, a hair styling section, but this establishment also has an in-house photo studio. There are samples of pictures on the wall. The work looks amazing. It's kind of convenient that if you want to beautify yourself before your photo shoot, you can! :) The staff is friendly. Haena styled my hair and I liked it. In fact, I actually liked the cut on her hair, that I'm contemplating going back and asking her to cut my hair like hers. Is that a little too single white female-ish? :) She has a cute bob, and it speaks mountains when your stylist has awesome hair too. Proves, she knows what she's doing. Lancer is a true artist and working with him has transformed how we should remember our wedding. He manages to take numerous photos and harvest a handful of photos that tell the story the client wants to share, all in a stress-free atmosphere. Lancer has a keen understanding of aesthetics and sees the character in each smirk, squint and head tilt; it was as educational for me as it was productive. I actually looked at a number of different alternatives before eventually having settled on Lancer (Beaushae.) I was impressed with how much expertise he possesses on wedding photography. He had tons of sample pictures and even a video samples with in every detail. He seemed to really care about his craft and I got the impression that he had a deep knowledge of his subject matter. Meeting him in person reinforced quite a feeling. I asked a simple question about wedding photography and I got an encyclopedia of knowledge in response. I had no idea that so much thought went into lighting a picture. He could talk you about the different purposes of each light and how certain lighting combinations could emphasis particular emotional states like coming across as smart or friendly! Lancer is absolutely amazing! He is truly talented, creative, passionate and extremely hard working. Since our first meeting it was clear how passionate and excited he is about photography, and how important is to him pleasing his clients and offering them the best that he can. We did a session for three wedding photography - one formal indoors, another outdoors, and the ceremony. I ended with a stack of images and I love them all. The shoot was easy and Lancer is terribly interesting so it's quite easy to make conversation and relax. Thanks to Lancer, we able to finalize every detail ahead of time. His talent and professionalism were especially evident the day of the wedding. Right after our church ceremony. Lancer was very collected, he put everyone at ease and he managed to direct us efficiently and get some exceptional family formal pictures in a very limited time. During our reception, he didn't sit down for a minute shooting every little moment. His frames captured perfectly the vibe of the wedding and the mood of all of our guests. The final product we received was beyond exceptional and all of our friends and family that saw the pictures were ecstatic! Lancer definitely went above and beyond to accomodate our demanding schedule. The day of the shoot he made us feel comfortable and at ease, and he was able to direct us and get some incredible frames. He is so dedicated that within a couple of days after we had samples, and within a week he delivered an exceptional final product! We are so happy we decided to work with Lancer. He was able to capture with his lens the memories of joy and happiness on the day of our wedding. Without any second thought, I would recommend Lancer to everyone who is looking for a candit style of photography, and for someone that is talented, passionate, creative, fun and very customer oriented. one thing i'm not adventurous with are new hairdressers. hence why i had the same awesome guy cut my hair since 1994. 20 freakin years! so, it is with bittersweetness i post this review. with our 5 month old son garnering all of our attention these days, getting down to irvine to get haircuts was simply not practical anymore. my wife urged me to find someone closer but she didn't pressure me too badly bc she knew i was deathly afraid to have someone new snip my flowing locks of salt and pepper, soon to be dyed, hair. she had two good experiences with Hanna before; said i should give her a shot. before committing to an appt., i called and spoke to Hanna (sorry if i'm misspelling your name!) we basically had a mini consultation over the phone and i felt at ease to make an appt., the next day haha saturday morning came with some trepidation and lack of sleep (sleep deprivation, see baby boy ref above). i walked in and was warmly greeted. the place was clean and spacious. i had some photos in my phone from when i had a fresh cut from my previous guy. showed Hanna and she went to work. wow. super fast and excellent cut! very impressed and relieved! of course i had to show photos of my little guy to her and the other lady who intermittently wiped the cut hair off my face. we all chit chatted about our kids, etc. anyway, the haircut was awesome, finished with another shampoo. service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. i've found my new spot! read more

I came for the first time, a bit hesitant but I got a haircut and color anyway. I wanted a bit longer hair but Haena just went and do her thing, it got shorter than what I wanted but it came out nice anyway. Friends and family like the new look, some loved it and want a haircut too. She's good and quick with what she can do. She colored my hair and did highlights and the cut in about an hour and a half, as she said it to be. I guess I have a new hairdresser now :-) Thanks again Haena. read more

Regarding haircut and style, Haena is very good and is obviously experienced at this. I cannot give it a 5 star because when you walk in, there are these guys in the front (I guess they work there), who are slouching around in their chairs or couches, looking at their phones. They do not look up or acknowledge the customer coming in, but ignore everyone. Quite rude front of the house greeting. But again, Haena is excellent with hair. read more

I was searching for a new hair stylist and my friend recommended me to go see Hanna. Wanted to tone down my hair color from a light ashy color to a medium ashy one. I have a really sensitive scalp and cheap products makes my scalp burn and I end up having a dry scalp. If my scalp gets too dry then I end up with lots of dandruff :'( I didn't want to sound like I was a picky customer (which I am lol)and didn't even bother to metion about my sensitive scalp. When she applied the color I didn't feel any burning and was relieved that she wasn't using those cheap products. I also had a haircut and it came out very beautifully. I also love how she gave me a layer. Looks very natural and is very easy to style. I am definitely going back and I am planning to take my three children there soon. read more

Our biggest regret is hiring Lancer Chang (Beaushae Studio) for our wedding ... What a disappointment! He did not take any picture of the bride and groom before the wedding, he did not take a picture of all our guests (there were only 20 tables), we have multiple pictures with bride/groom's eyes closed and many more heart stabbing disappoints ... The biggest sadness is his response "I did not get the opportunity" ... It was a wedding not a get together that can be repeated. read more

I been here a couple of times before. They did an OK job with my hair but my issue is I sort of feel that I was ripped off. It was way more than what I expected to pay for an OK job with my hair. I don't know much about hair so I asked a couple of my friends if I paid a reasonable amount. They were all shocked and that I definitely paid much more than I should have. It's been a long time since I had a really good cut and color. I've been to the salon twice now and each time I had great results. The first time I went in was for color and highlights. My consultation with Haena was wonderful and she was quick to figure out a solution to fix my color job from another local salon. I had two people working on me and this really helped speed up the process so I wasn't in the salon all day. I love, love, loved my color and the cut was fantastic! The second time I went in was for a color touch up and trim. I have been very pleased each time. Everyone at the salon is very nice and inviting. Haena is terrific and really knows hair.
