It was supposed to be reflexology that pertains to the work Estheticians do, but instead it was a 1 hour lecture on body types which included unwelcomed diet advice, self promotion and inappropriate comments. Undeniably the worst part about it was the completely unacceptable critique of Native Indians. It left everyone that heard it absolutely disgusted and we were shocked to hear such comments come out of Bonnie's mouth. She thought it was appropriate to stare at the beautiful Native women in our class, while she began to openly talk about the appearance of Native Indians. Bonnie laser-focused on making her point about obesity, heart issues and body shape, including comments like "the women are normally built with huge breasts and a big belly, large legs and no butt, the men have big legs and a huge "distinguishable beer belly." She then went onto say that they aren't taught old ways of cooking or growing, and insinuated that, that's the cause for their "obesity" and "growing heart attacks and health related deaths". It was upsetting to watch Bonnie not even blink an eye about her comments, even after the beautiful Native women in our class felt so uncomfortable she left. As a women, a business owner, a member of society and a human being, Bonnie needs to know that was completely out of line and unappreciated. She lost all respect and any interest in "Bonnie's Reflexology" from EVERYONE in the room yesterday.
