I visited Sun Mountain Center for a "girls weekend" with women I have known for nearly twenty…read moreyears. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Although the rooms were nice, we were disappointed with a number of things: First, it was evident that there was little to no communication between Sun Mountain Center and Sun Water Spa. The two entities claim to be "sister businesses," but almost a week after our stay, I am still trying to get in touch with the Spa with regard to the "discount" we were supposed to have received because we were lodging at the Center. Secondly, none of us were greeted by anyone at any point during our stay at the Center. Although the rooms were comfortable, the reception was quite cold. Lastly, we are a group of five women who thrive from being with one another. After asking various members of the staff via phone if the suite could accommodate five people, we were told that we would have to purchase two rooms. (We were more than happy to pay for a fifth in the suite "for four" we had reserved.) The suite "for four" was enormous. We could have easily fit five (or more) people in one room. We understand Sun Mountain Center is a business and has to run accordingly, but we certainly didn't feel like our stay was a priority. I am a yoga instructor and also have a travel company. I frequently search for places to send my clients and I am in constant communication with lodging facilities around the world. I know how facilities should welcome and treat their clients and Sun Mountain Center fell short, hence my "three star" rating. Stay at Sun Mountain Center. Enjoy the food and the hot tub, just don't expect a warm greeting or flexibility in your accommodations.

Just finished up a women's retreat for my yoga company, Wild Souls Yoga. This venue is the best…read moreretreat venue that we have ever worked with! The property is so gorgeous. There are 2 100-year-old mansions on the property, along with a biodynamic farm. There is so much to do, from walking the land, spending time in the hot tubs or patios on site, or visiting Sunwater Spa just down the road. The staff on site was wonderful, and the vegan food was out of this world!!

Honest spa review: Round 2 hit better than round 1! 2 years later and they have some add on's so…read moretap in for why Sun Water Spa gets a 5/5 yet again! -Red Mountain 5/5 Located on the third floor, you have lockers to store your belongings and you have 90 minutes to make it last. If I could do it again, this is how I would do it: step by step down below: 1. 15 minute sauna session 2. 1-2 minute cold plunge 3. 5 minute sauna session. 4. Rinse off and hydrate 5. Relax and go to your tub Cold plunge treatments are so good for your body. They are a little uncomfortable your first time. But if you can repeat it a couple times, you'll get the most out of your experience! 90 minutes doesn't seem like a long time as it goes by fast... so enjoy the relaxation, enjoy the zen, and just appreciate the view and take it all in as it's been yet again, just what I needed! Thank you Sun water spa! 5/5 yet again!

This was the perfect start to our vacation. We booked a tub on 3rd floor. The facility was clean…read moreand the staff were very friendly. We loved the cold plunge pool and the convince of the clock showing the time. The saline pools were great and it was nice to have the different temps. The pools were a bit close together so great if you have a larger group and want to socialize. Book the private tun for a bit more money if you want privacy. However people were respectful overall and voices were kept low. The only downside was the lack of bathroom facilities. On our floor there were 12 people using 2- 2 shower bathrooms. We only did the soak and I would do other services in the future. The parking situation is on the street and I'm off times it's free for 2 hours. The price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back when we are in town. Services requested were as expected.

My experience started with my husband scheduling an hour massage for me for our anniversary…read more Unfortunately, the same day of my appointment we tested and the results came back positive. So the right thing in our mind is to let them know, regardless of the late notice. Understanding that this is a business I totally understand and felt like us explaining that we were sick, we were still wanting to let them know because we don't want to spread it. We were still charged the 50% for even letting them know, which I would think is an emergency. Now come to think of it, the only solution I felt like I could have happened was to just come in there sick with COVID without being transparent. It was also seeming like we HAD to reschedule or they would charge our card for the full amount. There was no consideration, customer service, or understanding at all regarding being sick. In addition, I wish there was a way if I schedule a full hour massage and I am running late (with communication) to get a massage for the remaining 45 mins isn't used? And I want to make it clear I understand being late or sick with COVID isn't anyones fault, but just wanted a little of consideration. Edit to add: Image is showing the time stamp of leaving this establishment - owner incorrectly stated I was 45 minutes late to my appointment, however to my understanding my appointment was at 11:45am so by the time I asked the front desk and get on the elevator, go in the back, get denied service, call my husband, and go out to take the picture it was 12:20pm. From my calculations that is 25 minutes, again ma'am what happened to the allotted time I was booked for... the full hour.. You just added an extra 20 minutes. So, no I don't understand...

My mom loved her facial and the staff was very friendly and inviting. However, not even 24 hours later and my manicure was RUINED. It's not like I was even doing any sort of intense activity that you would expect to have your nails chipped. Not worth the money I paid.
