Although, the fish were few & far in between, this past trip, due to cold water on the bottom, Captain Scotty moved the boat a few times to give his customers the best chance possible to catch a fish. The captain and his mates are always very welcoming and friendly. They're attentive at all times which was especially helpful being I had minimal experience previously. Whether you catch a fish, or not, it's always a pleasurable experience.

Miss fort pierce honest review…read more Went out. We chose fort pierce for the online reputation and location. Being fort pierce and being in a place where the water gets deeper faster we expected to fish more than 90 feet. Max depth was 89 or so feet. Rental rods were nothing to write home about but they were functional. Bait selection was limited. Live bait was not available for purchase. Deckhands/ mates were mixed bag. One gentleman was phenomenal. The other was not so much. The aforementioned original first mate put extra emphasis on a young angler who was on his first day. Fantastic to see. The second mate however chose to repeatedly open the cooler on the back of the boar during moves that anglers were leaning on instead of asking them or saying "excuse me", just forcing the lid open, practically shoving people. I understand that the cooler is operating equipment but there is no where else to be fishing the stern and this was not during fishing where it would have been sailly to be standing there. There is no seating available for individuals fishing the stern spots. The inside spots fill up fast as the cabin fits about 9 people and those sitting on them had their gear on the other seating around the boat. So those fishing the stern are just screwed in that regard. Could have brought a bucket or a chair if it was mentioned, but they did not disclose this. I have some concerns about the volume of fish they claim to catch on a good day because the fish sorting system and coolers for catch do not reflect any regular large hauls. 4 keeper fish were landed on a full boat. Granted that can happen but there are other factors in play. They supposedly restrict the amount of alcohol that can be brought to maintain "a family environment " but also had nothing to say about several people smoking right next to children. No food on the boat. Understandable for its size. Worth mentioning, They do not allow trolling. Which some Such party boats do. The images on the website of the restroom facility's are somewhat overstated. Those images must be old and the bathroom didn't even have soap in the dispenser at 7AM Unfortunately my takeaway is that this charter doesn't specifically put stock in any one angle and unfortunately if the fishing doesn't co-operate it ends up being a bit of a dull day. Of all the charters from fort pierce to Orlando they all charge the same but Miss Fort pierce is the only one that doesn't include food. All in all we picked this charter for geographical location and fishing potential and we felt that they didn't perform beyond what a regular party boat would do. Best part of it all was the friendly deck hand. Other than that I don't have much else to talk about. I feel that at the same price point as other charters this one doesn't have a distinct draw other than maybe the small size.

My daughter and I wanted to go fishing and I found Mark. I called and set up a trip during the week…read morewe were visiting Florida. I read the reviews and Marks responses. I've been to Florida on two other occasions and until we went with Mark I had not caught a keeper fish. I've fished all my like and there is a reason they call it fishing and not just catching. I mostly bass fish and it's very common to move from spot to spot to find fish. This was Mark's tactic. We went out several mines and I'll say we caught a very nice day and it wasn't rough. My daughter was the first to catch a keeper and from there she went on to have a stellar day. Mark provided an awesome day. Great service and a lot of conversation. Mark had different spots and he worked hard to get us on fish. It should be noted that he has a gps driven Minolta trolling Moyer that will keep his boat on a spot without an anchor. Saves a lot of time in moving between spots because he didn't use an anchor. The electronics were second to none and I felt very safe. If you want a personal or small family fishing experience I recommend Captain Mark. So ask the best question. Would you go fishing with Mark a second trip. Answer. We are planning on it. Thanks Mark for an awesome day of fishing and catching. Tom

On a recent trip to the Port St. Lucie area, my father chartered a boat as a late Christmas gift to…read morego fishing off the coast. All things considered, I enjoyed my time out on the water with my family, but thought that the overall service lacked a personal touch that would have elevated the experience. The Captain / Service: This is where I was the most disappointed. If you are taking money to have us on your boat, you need to be a 'Tour Guide of the Seas'. Although I am sure that some people look to get out on the water for peace and solitude, I am also looking for an experience in both a knowledge, and educational-sense. I am not from the area, so I want to know everything there is to know about the area and the adventure we're about to embark on. When he was asked a question, he answered in his monotone, unenthusiastic tone which seemed to say, "Leave me alone", more than, "Sure, let me be helpful and enhance this experience for you." Honestly, reflecting back a little more closely now, he was almost entirely useless. I could have Googled how to do the few things he showed us. We would have been equally fine ...if not better...without him. Another issue...when we were travelling from one spot to another - a good 15 minute ride - the wind and weather was whipping in a way that constantly sprayed me and was getting me very wet. Not a little damp, which I can handle...as I'm on a boat...legitimately wet. It was unseasonably cool in Port St.Lucie that weekend. So being wet in 59 degree weather with no sun shine is not a comfortable feeling. Do you think he offered me to stand under the canopy with him? Nope. Instead I relocated up front to try and get out of the spray, but he through a tantrum because 'too many of us were in the front' and it could damage the boat. I am not arguing that point, what I am upset about is your lack of customer service. Lastly, we are out on the water for 5-6 hours and you don't have complimentary bottles of water -- after all that we've paid? Ummm... Captain/Service: 2 / 5 Boat/Gear: The boat had seen better days. It was by no means ragged, but it had cracks in the interior, ripped fabric and trimmings, and an overall look that made it obvious that the boat's best days were quickly becoming a distant memory. In terms of the gear, all seemed OK; but on two separate occasions we had a massive hit on one of our 'trolling' poles -- the one where we attached live bait and attached a 'buoy' of sorts. On both occasions, the line snapped. Once? Ok. Twice? That gets me thinking. Furthermore, the second time it happened, I told the dude that I think the fish 'took everything'. He dismissed me like I had no idea what I was talking about. Then, an hour later, we reeled it in to find the line snapped... Boat/Gear: 2 / 5 Fish: Unfortunately, we did not catch too many fish. On a relatively cool day, this made the trip a little bit more disappointing. We caught some small channel catfish, a couple of 'Porgis', and a couple very small sea bass. The three of us combined for about 18-20 useless fish that were pointless to take home, even though we took 2. This is not necessarily the fault of the Captain, as fishing can be a spotty-sport in terms of success. Though, I feel as if between the missed 'big catches', and the excessive lack of success, that there is a correlation that can't be ignored. Fish: 2 / 5 Final Thoughts: I loved being out on the water with my dad and brother. Wish it was just us though, because the Captain was entirely useless. I would not recommend this company. Yes, some of my complaints may seem 'nit-picky'. But they all add up. All I could think the whole time was how 'I could do a much better job', with regard to service and overall experience. Just seemed to be an extreme lack of personal touch. Maybe my expectations were just to high...
