Nice space number 56, not too much shade during mid day but late at night. Perfect location.

Did a maiden voyage with our new pop-up camper. Campground pretty empty. Had a wonderful time close to the water so the dogs had a wonderful time as well. Full hook up site that we chose. Not very shady mid day but still a nice location.

$12 for all day parking. You can walk along the areas that used to be submerged under water, but isn't now due to the dry winter we've had and because we are overall experiencing a dry spell in California. Visited today simply to walk around and be outdoors with the nice weather. I did not experience the "camping" aspect, but it's safe to report that this recreational area is clean and very well kept together. Not that many people on the walking trail and my dog seemed to have enjoyed being off his leash.

Site 19. Pretty big site, staff was nice, lake is a 5-10 walk. Make sure you bring your quarters if you want to use the showers

I love this place. They have picnic tables...bbq pits...a sandy beach area...life guards...a snack bar...they even rent large swan floaties ect. I am not sure of the prices..I did not check. It is a very nice place to bring your raft... tubes..kayak...ect. the water is pretty calm on this side...not many boats. A woman on the beach told me the rental place will even blow up your rafts for a small fee. Many families come to this part. It is kind friendly. There is shallow beach area all along the lake here for kids. Not a rocky area at all. The life guards come out of you get to close to the buoys. I saw them paddle to many children to close to them. If you have small children and looking for a good part of folsom lake to take the kids...Beal's point is a great place. They also have campgrounds here. I am not sure of the price. I have never camped. The daily pass to park here is 12.00 per vehicle. If you are bringing in a boat or jet skis the price increases..not sure how much more...

Awesome Beach; Great for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, hanging out, and especially for taking your lab retriever for some exhausting swim times!

Massive Rock to get the table to even be near flat

Visited prior to the start of the memorial day weekend, so it wasn't as busy. For the most part,…read morealmost all of the guest stayed at the Point, at sites 44 to 55 which the campground treats as lakefront sites. We stayed at site 44 and 45 and noted that 44 to 48 make up sites along the cove. I enjoyed these sites but there is a little bit of a walk down to the water. Site 53 is almost right on top of the water and site 54 and 55 are not that far either. The only real issue is that there isn't a flush toilet at these lakefront sites. Their are two vault toilets but it is possible to walk to the other bathrooms at the second loop which have flush toilets and showers. It is about a 5 to 10 minute walk uphill but definitely worth it for the flush toilets and generally cleaner bathrooms. For the most part almost all the sites on the point are definitely communal. You will be right next to your neighbors so keep that in mind. At some of the sites there was definitely people partying and being loud after 10 but thankfully they had quieted down before 12. It wasn't too bad as I wasn't right next to the group but its something to keep in mind. Additionally as others have noted, a lot of the sites are small and are on uneven ground, so it can be tough to but up a bigger tent. If you are looking for a bit more room and stable ground, consider the center spots in the upper loop. Again, you are much closer to your neighbors but it quite a bit more level. For some real privacy, site 67, 35, 25 are a bit more wooded than the other sites. The roads getting to the campsite were not bad, and our interactions with camp host were great. Karen was very friendly and personable and she seems to remember past interactions quite well. She seemed to get to know my family pretty well. There was only two people working at the time but we didn't have any issues with services or the site. Trash is also collected by carts that they had set up next to the restrooms. Since we were at the point, we didn't really spend time at the day use area, but we did rent a paddle board for the whole day. It was a great value and the kids really enjoyed it I really enjoyed my stay at this site and the only real issue I had is that it a bit more expensive than some other sites I've been to. I didn't get a chance to check out the group sites but I can imagine those would be much better for groups, if not grabbing a bunch of the sites between 44 to 55 also could make a good group site.

Easy check in and decent bathroom cleanliness/access. We…read morewere in sites 27/28 & they were both VERY "hilly" very uneven & a lot of snake(?) holes. The views were great, access to the lake was good. I wish there were flatter surfaces for pitching our tents though.

Our kids (ages 3 and 5) had an absolute blast. They loved riding their bikes around the property, swimming in the pool, playing mini golf, feeding the goats, fishing in the private pond, and riding the train. There were so many activities that we never ran out of things to do. If you're a parent looking for a family-friendly campground, this is a great choice. The campground does receive some comments about being close to the freeway, but honestly, it didn't bother us much at all. We barely noticed it because we were having so much fun enjoying everything the property has to offer. I also really appreciated the text reminders about the activities and events happening throughout our stay. It made it easy to plan our day and ensured we didn't miss out on anything. We made some wonderful family memories here and will definitely be back for another visit!

Fishing pond, mini golf, a goat that you can pet. A train that you can take a ride on around the camp ground. Everything is free except for the fishing and arcade. If you decide to stay here spot #60. It has a deck w/chairs and seating. Pretty cool spot. They have a swimming pool and hot tub too. Overall my experience was great. The only thing I would recommend is maybe grass around the pool area. The weeds at the pool area were kind of a bummer. They do have a few cabin and they are next to the freeway but ask for a site not so close to the freeway you can hear it So if your looking for a camp spot that is not to far go check them out.

What a hidden gem! Would come again!…read more We camped for 3 nights and loved this camp site. Clean, spacious, close access to walking trails, and lake. There are hot showers (coin operated), clean bathrooms, tent and RV sites, water faucets. Showers are coin operated, bring quarters! $0.50 for 4 minutes, and $0.25 per 2 minutes thereafter. We stayed at 1 of the 2 glamping sites, with a 2 bed/ 4 person tent already set up. All sites have a max capacity of 8 ppl, or 2 cars. Cooking- fire pit. But check the website as some days are "no fire", you can bring a propane stove. Good cell phone reception. Kids and dogs friendly :)

Attention Yelp moderators: This is NOT the same campground as the Peninsula Campground near Rollins…read moreLake. That is a far away, completely unrelated, privately owned campground. This is also NOT the same as Beals Point, which is a DIFFERENT campground over an hour away. This campground is one of three campgrounds owned and operated by Folsom SRA. (The others are Black Miners Bar in Folsom and Beals Point in Granite Bay.) The campground is HUGE, with well over 100 spaces. They normally have a lot more availability than the other Folsom campgrounds. It's about an hour away from Folsom, at the end of Rattlesnake Bar Road, which is at the end of Salmon Falls Road. In order to get to the campground, you have to drive down an 8 mile rustic, narrow road. Be forewarned that some people speed down this road with huge trucks and boats. There are two boat launch ramps at Peninsula. One is in the day use area, and the other is in the campground area, for campers only. Campsites 70-100 are closest to the boat dock and mooring area. Sites 1-40 are quieter and further away from the lake. Before booking a site, I would highly recommend doing a drive through if possible. I stayed at several different sites, and they are all very unique in their own ways. Some are isolated under trees up on a hill, some are crowded near the shore. Some have stone fire pits, and some don't. Oaks Nature Trail runs entirely inside of the campground, and can't be accessed from anywhere else. Darrington Trail runs about 8 miles from the campground to Salmon Falls Road. The staff will usually recommend making reservations online, which you can do if you're at least two days out. Peninsula is great because, if they still have spots available, they'll sell them to you, even if they're blocked out online. When in doubt, check with the staff. It's too hot for me to camp here in summer, but it is a really nice campground, and the fees are not too bad, especially if you have an access pass.
