There are loads and loads of shops in the Quadrant like HMV, Game , W H smiths , Clinton cards and Debenhams. It can get pretty packed out with shoppers at peak times and especially with the run up to christmas. At christmas there is usually a lovely christmas tree with lots of decorations which make it look really nice. The shopping centre always looks clean and tidy and you will always find a cleaner pottering around.

The Quadrant is like many indoor shopping centres across the UK. It mostly houses chain stores like…read moreHMV, Clarks, WHSmiths, Faith and so on and so forth. Shops you find in every town in Britain. The Quadrant itself is quite pleasant though, it has a predominently glass roof which allows it to be very bright and airy inside. There's a gallery cafe which looks out on to the main concourse of the shopping centre which is great for people watching. The bus station also comes out of one end, so finding it is very easy, and also you won't have far to carry bags to get a bus. Or even to get to your car if you choose to park in the NCP which also adjoins the Quadrant. You can also get to Swansea Market via an entrance in the Quadrant. The largest store by far is Debehams, which is a large department store and takes up almost an entire wing of its own. ANECDOTE: I was sick on the doors of Debehams one Christmas as I was shopping for presents and very rapidly came down with a virus. There are public toilets (free) upstairs which are clean and well maintained. The buidling is decorated according to the seasons, and a large Christmas tree is the focus during the winter.

Bridgend Designer Outlet, or McArthur Glen, as some people still seem to know it, is a strange…read moreplace just off the M4 heading towards Bridgend. I remember when it first opened; it was very, very exciting. For the first time South Wales has a selection of designer outlet stores, ranging through everything. From Cadbury to M&S, from Revlon to Whittard, and from Cotton Traders to Animal. The choice was endless. Then the excitement soon wore off, when we realised that these were just normal high street stores with things either substandard or just a little bit cheaper. This is a collection of all that is unwanted from the other shops. That being said, you can pick up some really good bargains from this place, especially from Bookends and some of the sports and camping gear shops. This is a good place to come to if you're after functional items, but not really the kind of place which is going to wow you with its selection of wonderful boutiques. There is also a cinema and food court on site, so you can make a day of it (if there's really nothing better to do). This place getting heaving when it's raining outside.

This is outlet store is both fantastic and highly annoying at the same time. Firstly if your after…read moreanything outdoorsy then this is a fantastic place to come, there are loads of stores dedicated to walking, skying ect. If you are shopping for fashion I would say don't bother. There are the likes of Gap, CK where you can get some decent basics but not really your going out on Saturday night stuff. Gift shopping is pretty good here and I also seem to make a trip up at Christmas time. Its only 20 minutes from Cardiff so worth a trip and there's plenty of parking and open late for hassle free shopping. Its also has a large food court with KFC, Pizza Hut, Jacket Potatoes, Pies, a cafe and more.

Mark and Sparks, the place all sexy food aspire to end up. And then there's clothes etc…read more.. I haven't generally been to M&S for clothes before, besides the otherday when I tried on a linen suit to make my other half laugh via a surprise MMS message from me. The lady at the changing rooms was so sweet and give you a grade A service, it almost made me feel little guilty I was here to muck around. However what i do go in for quite often is the food. M&S advertisements could be seen as hyperbolic in how salacious they are shot. I disagree, the food is very good quality and have always had great dinners from here. Another misconception is that the food here is expensive, again I disagree sir. There are always some greet 3 for 2 deals on food and if I'm feeling lazy I can spend about a fiver for a ready made meal, a tasty ready made food I may add. I've also got a couple of presents from here and bought a lovely rose for my mum to plant for Mother day, all for a price of £6.99 And finally the most important thing, the booze. There is a great selection of white/red\rose wine and champagne. Again starting at reasonable price to prices that do justify the M&S common conception. Oh and nearly forgot, M&S is one of the very few places that will do custom celebration cakes in the city. Give it atleast a week before the event though.

I also go here if I want a bra fitting as the ladies are well trained and so professional I always feel at ease. I don't know what they give their staff but they are always so pleasant and helpful. I don't often buy clothes here but I have noticed they are a lot better than they used to be and much more reasonable that I expected. The gift section is always fantastic, especially at christmas and its just so nice to have somewhere in the city to pick up some lovely food and a bottle of wine to enjoy when you get home.
