They are very upfront with costs, and willing to work with my insurance and around my flexible spending account timeline. I never have to wait long to see the dentist, and the cleaning I've had was top notch. I would highly recommend DentalWorks. They don't have a lot of the fancy bells and whistles some dentists have (I moved from Richmond, VA where I attended a 'spa dentistry' - literally a koi pond, hot towels, massage chairs... the whole nine yards). I was already extremely nervous about seeing the dentist. But Dr Summers was a total jerk. There's no way I'm paying somebody to disrespect me and I'm paying my money! You can tell when they're not really happy About having " us" around. An utter and complete Jerk! When they called me back , My husband comes back with me. The nice young lady even went and got him a chair. The doctor comes and tells the girl my husband can't stay back there. So when I asked him why couldn't he stay back here with me especially since it's just a consult visit. It was pretty much that's how he operates or does things but then he proceeds to say " if y'all don't like it, y'all both can leave" . Who tells a new patient that? Who intentionally escalates a situation like that? But you don't have to tell me twice. You didn't want us there in the first place. You will not disrespect me and I still pay you. You will not disrespect me and I sit there like some fool. His entire demeanor was rude . These ppl aren't even trying to hide how they feel about us anymore. When I went to pay my 5 dollar copay she looked at me like I was an idiot and said they don't take a card for less than 10. There was no reference to this anywhere. How was I supposed to know. And I usually don't carry cash but I happened to have a 5 on me. Then they wouldn't let me go to the back because I had another little one with me. I was told I should have gotten a babysitter. I don't know about you guys but I can't just up and get a babysitter whenever one of my kids has an appointment. This place was incredibly rude and not family friendly.

I had been "just looking" on previous occasions, loved her website, but had not made up my mind until I was actually in desperate need. Others popped up in the search, but her office was the first one I called. I guess it just felt right. I left a message and they got back to me right away. We set up an appointment to check out the tooth. Everyone I encountered were really great, made me feel at ease. Made another appointment to have tooth extracted, which was good being the morning of, it had gone nuclear in the pain dept. Again, the staff and Dr. McCarthy, made everything go along fine. So, that convinced me to see about becoming a regular patient. I recently had xrays, exam, cleaning... I cannot complain. They are awesome. They worked diligently as a team to assure that I was comfortable at all times during my visit! Oh and funnnny! They had me laughing the entire time!
