I…read morechose this place based on positive reviews here on yelp and responsiveness during my initial inquiries. First, I scheduled a virtual consult on a Friday which took about 15minutes. The staff was able to answer majority of my questions. After which, I went on a Tuesday to have the in-person check up and scans done. I went to determine if I was a candidate for PRK (4-day recovery) or LASIK (1-day recovery). Shelly was the one who assisted me. Then my surgery was scheduled that Friday. I arrived at 12:30pm as schedule. The scans were redone for accuracy. The LASIK procedure was done at around 2pm and lasted for approximately 15mins. They give you valium 30minutes before and Xanax after to help you sleep. The process I would say is 5/10 in terms of pain. There's a pressure in your eye then the laser. After the procedure, there's a lot of burning's sensation and it's difficult to open your eyes. That's why they recommend to sleep for at least 6 hours to give your eyes a rest and recover. They give you eye shields and glasses and there will be eye medications that you need to instill for 7days and eye drops for 3 months. You need to come back the following day for a follow up. The following morning, I am able to see clearly but a little bit cloudy. Both doctors were nice and have a great bedside manner. Overall, I highly recommend this place for LASIK. They do have payment options, one of is care credit, 18months zero interest.

I wear progressive lenses and they can be hard to adapt to. You really have to have a knowledgeable person take measurements so the glasses work as designed. Marty is excellent at this. But my most recent visit, the eye glasses were made incorrectly by the laboratory. I went back to see Marty, who took some measurements and confirmed there was an error. Marty had my glasses remade and on a rush order. I needed them "rush" because was heading out on an international trip very soon. Marty saved the day! Thanks Marty!!!

When I went in for a consult, I was unfortunately not a good candidate for LASIK. Dr. Feinerman suggested another procedure called EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) that I was a good fit for. Despite the higher cost compared to LASIK, I was totally on board. I scheduled my surgery appointment afterwards and I was given instructions on how to prepare for the procedure (I had to put eye drops in beforehand). The surgery center Dr. Feinerman used was in Tustin (Barranca Surgery Center). I had a very early appointment and I didn't have to wait too long. The procedure took what felt like 10 minutes, but could have been way longer (the anesthesia worked like a charm!). I had my sister drive me home, there is no way you should try to drive yourself home after getting this done!! Immediately after the surgery, my vision had a noticeable improvement, with sensitivity to light. Over the next 3 months, my vision stabilized and I don't have dry eyes as often anymore. It took more effort than it should have to finally unsubscribe from them. More concerning was my recent cataract follow-up appointment. After the exam, the front office refused to provide my eyeglass prescription, stating that I would need to schedule and pay for a separate refractive exam appointment. When I questioned this, staff consulted with Dr. Novik, who confirmed that this was the office policy. I was only able to obtain my prescription after standing up for myself, at which point another doctor made an exception and released it. The FTC Eyeglass Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 456) has been in effect since 1978 and requires patients to be provided their prescription automatically after any exam that includes a refraction, regardless of the appointment type and without requiring the patient to ask. After I complained, the office responded by saying they would address the issue with their staff, although I remain doubtful that meaningful changes will occur. They also asked me to remove my honest, fact-based review, which further undermined my confidence in the office's integrity. The overall experience gave me the impression of a predatory business focused on generating additional appointments and revenue. A friend later told me she also had a bad experience there and described similar questionable business practices. I will not be returning.

Melina, who handled my pre-testing before I met with Dr. Nguyen, was incredibly patient and understanding. She took the time to explain each test and what it was for, which really helped me feel more comfortable. When I met with Dr. Nguyen, she immediately put me at ease. She was thorough and thoughtful while perfecting my prescription, carefully walking me through each option and giving me time when I felt unsure. She also explained my astigmatism in a way that was easy to understand. I had no idea I even had astigmatism before! On top of that, she was able to identify the cause of my eye irritation and recommended eye drops that have been extremely helpful. After my exam, I went back out to choose a pair of glasses, and Melina jumped right in to help again. She spent a good amount of time walking me through different frames, explaining how things like weight and nose pads can make a big difference in comfort. To top it all off, she actually picked out the pair I ended up loving and chose to get!
