Great to work with, flexible, and had a genuine concern that our day went the way we wanted it. The venue is very nice and the decorations make for great evening ambiance. It was just what we wanted. Noel was able to coordinate additional decorations from a previous event without charging us which we really enjoyed. The outside deck gives good views of Lynnhaven inlet as well. Service during our event was great, not intrusive and professional. Starting out with 5 stars because of Noel and her staff. Negatives, Food quality is about a 3 out of 5 stars and not representative of the price you are paying. Most items were clearly pre-made food service items that were re-heated or deep fried. Chicken was a little dry, sauce was pre-packaged, shrimp were fried or baked from frozen with sriracha sauce drizzled over them and labeled bang bang shrimp, apps were pre-made food service company items. We were disappointed in the food at the tasting, commented that we wanted the kitchen to step it up, but ended up with the same crap food for the event. Minus 1 star. They charge a service fee to pay with credit card here. I don't appreciate a business passing on the fee that a credit card company charges them so that they can offer that payment method to their customers. It's a slimy business tactic. If you're going to nickle and dime me for your costs, just build it in to your prices and then offer a cash discount. Minus .5 stars. Overall, we really enjoyed our event and our service was great, but the food is cafeteria quality at best. Fortunately, most people were distracted enough by the event to not care, but we definitely noticed.

I was in the middle of interviewing wedding planners and was so close to locking one in already. I was less than 5 months to getting married so the pressure was on!! The following week or so, my husband and I met with him. At our first meeting, he had cupcakes for us!! And from my favorite cupcake shop too!! How did he know? It's like love at first site LOL! He was thorough in explaining the different services he provided and had packages to fit any budget. He answered all our questions and concerns. And we had a lot! He's very knowledgeable in the industry and had great connection to vendors that I would need for the wedding. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. So that night my husband and I knew he was the one to help us enter this new journey of our lives. Ted was always available for me day and night! He went with us to every vendor meetings, cake and food tasting, dress fitting, hair and makeup session, and etc. He wanted to make sure we were happy and what we agreed upon at these meetings is what we're going to get on the wedding day. He was hands on and I needed that!!! He was very much invested in us. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry about anything, he took care of the logistics and even had my 'lady in waiting' at my house to pick me up and transport my items. He thought of EVERYTHING. So If you are looking for a wedding planner or for any event for that matter, look no further this is the guy for you!

He plans everything from birthday parties, to very grand weddings. Small scale, large, he has literally done it all. Check out his website to see more pictures of his past events. I was able to attend a few parties he's planned, and his attention to detail is everything! We once went to a Lego themed baby shower and it was amazing! Top notch and on another level. (See my pictures.) He's very professional, and very fun to work with and be around. I highly recommend his services. Contact him to set up a meeting or consultation. Rose was hard…read moreto get in touch with, couldn't give us an exact location for the actual wedding, and didn't listen to our special needs. She didn't reach out the day of to confirm anything, when my fiancé called her that morning she spoke to him with the windows down in her car and couldn't answer his questions clearly. For the ceremony, rose and her family showed up (her husband and young daughter were there). None of them were dressed professionally. They all had on pants and tshirts. For the music, they brought out a boom box to the beach and the music was abruptly played and stopped. It should have been softly started and played out quietly. This was not worth our money, customer service was horrible, and honestly made our special day more stressful. I will say that our photographer (outside vendor) was so kind and took beautiful photos.

We were looking for a wedding…read morecompany for our beach wedding during the month of JUNE through GOOGLE review, we decided to go with Virginia Beach Wedding Company and we regretted that decision. In our contract, we picked and paid for 2 post bamboo arbor-draped and 2 flower corner swags with fresh flower header and seashell curtain. When we got to the wedding set up, we realized the arbor was completely different from what we have chosen (NONE OF FRESH FLOWERS, NO SEASHELL CURTAIN, AND COUPLE CHEAP FAKE FLOWERS). We asked the coordinator and she just simply gave us a poor excused that the previous couple that rented it and broken the decor of the seashell curtain. We believe things may happen but wasn't it their responsibility to notify us ahead and try to make it up to us before our wedding. We were very disappointed with their services and the way the problem was handled. That made us feel like they just said yes to everything to get the contract. Also, we were told that there would be PROFESSIONAL DJ CEREMONY MUSIC-W-MICROPHONE. Sadly again, they only provided a bluetooth speaker which her coordinator was using her phone and playing music through an app. There was not any microphone as described in our contract and evidently there were no Professional DJ personal there as well. Before our ceremony, we reminded her coordinator about our sand ceremony but she still forgot and the minister was surprised when our wedding was over and we asked when we were going to have the sand ceremony. He was not aware of it since nobody said anything to him. we had to call our guest back to their seats for our sand ceremony. What an awkward moment! It was our first wedding and obviously we didnt know what to do. That's why we hired a team who is good at what they are doing in order to help us but they were very unprofessional. There were a lot more of small things that were missing like rose pedals on the aisle, order of our songs, etc. But on top of that, the way Rose handles our complaint is very disappointing. She has been avoiding our phone call for about 2 months and then on Aug 17th she offered to refund $150 for all missing items and bad services they provided. We refused her offer because that meant all the missing items like arbor and music are only worth $150 while she charged us $3,622. $3,472 is her cost for the rest?? None sense. Be careful when you sign contract with her. No matter how bad their service is, you only get the max 20% refund (if she is willing to refund). We had to report to Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Virginia State to let them know how this company is practicing their business. The two pics are what we got and what we paid for. Looking at them, you will understand why we are pissed.

Allow me to explain…read more Initially we hired her as our partial wedding coordinator (because we had already done a lot of planning prior to meeting her) and our ceremony decorator. During the first 5-6 months, we continued planning. After awhile we noticed that although we had been paying Sazi regularly, she had not participated in the planning at all. And it was hard to reach her. It took her a long time to respond to phone calls and emails. When we set up face to face meetings, she was usually late or had unusual excuses of why she could not show up. This scared us to death!! How can we trust her with something as precious as our wedding date when she was been this negligent with our other needs? This is why we decided to end the planning part of her job. She agreed and we were able to move forward. But we still needed the decorations that we had spent hours discussing with her. It took her forever to draw up a new contract. And because she is not a timely person, we didn't trust her to deliver the decorations the day of the wedding. And thank God we didn't. The day we went to go pick up the supplies we found out that the company she worked for Event Central had fired her. And she did not have all of the decorations that were listed on our invoice. It is only by the grace of God and a lot of work on my mom and my mother-in-laws behalf that this wedding was not a complete disaster. Overall Sazi is nice, but because she is disorganized, unprofessional, has poor communication skills and is not forthcoming with valuable information she is in the wrong line of work.

Sonya Brooks, the owner of An Affair to Remember by Sazi, is more interested in your money than the…read morequality of the product she provides. Ms. Brooks had several months to have flowers ready for the wedding; however, did not provide flowers on the wedding day and caused an extensive delay to the start of the wedding. She overbooks, is hard to get in touch with, and unprofessional. She severely lacks attention to detail, which would be expected in her line of work. I highly suggest you look elsewhere and avoid Event Central, where she currently rents space. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Search online and look at other reviews.
