Billy and Ciara were incredible for our wedding. He knew our venues like the back of his hand and had shots already lined up for us which made the day easy. He got some iconic shots of us for sure, especially on our party bus lol. I will always recommend Billy and his team for any wedding or event!! Thank you for making our day so special!! read more

We knew that we had selected a true Artist as soon as we met Billy. He made us feel comfortable and at ease. We selected him to photograph our wedding which, as you know, is a very special occasion and you want to capture every moment. He was very engaging with not only us, but all of our guests. He has a fantastic personality, creative in his photo shots, chose wonderful location shots, as well as, included special walking street shots down the streets of La Jolla. He is one of the best photographers we've ever met, and I definitely would use him for any occasion. It's so important to have the right photographer for your special occasion and that is why we selected Billy. read more

We absolutely loved working with Billy! We had our engagement shoot with him about a year before our wedding and loved his vibe immediately, he put us at ease in front of the camera, was very friendly, stayed over the time frame discussed to get all the shots we wanted, and delivered awesome pictures! Also, we don't live in San Diego so we didn't have anyone to hold our dog during pictures that didn't include her, and he was amazing at wrangling her while simultaneously shooting shots of just the two of us! He was also an absolute godsend on our wedding day. I'd definitely recommend him for couples who are getting married at the Safari Park, as it's quite a big venue and it was incredibly helpful to have a photographer familiar with the park and who knew the best places for good shots. Billy suggested an amazing spot for our first look and private vows, and took loads of great shots as we walked through the park. He's super friendly and a consummate professional, absolutely someone you want to work with on one of the most important days of your life. We truly can't recommend him highly enough! read more

When we got our first batch of photos from BE Studios after the wedding, my husband told Billy that he was both shocked and completely unsurprised at the same time with how amazing the photos were. Shocked because he actually didn't mind photos of myself for the first time in seemingly forever and unsurprised because his portfolio is exactly what you get. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Billy and Jim. From the very first conversation with Billy, we knew we didn't need to continue hunting for a photographer. In fact, he was the first and only photographer we talked with regarding our wedding. Billy is sincere, kind, exceptionally easy to work with and is already loaded with ideas for photos to be taken and is open to whatever photo ideas you may have that he didn't (not likely). Although we spoke less pre-wedding with Jim, our experience with him was also exceptional. Immediately after entering the guys' ready room, everyone was comfortable and Jim shares all of the above traits with Billy. It truly felt like we had hired some super talented photographer friends to capture our wedding. Words are hard to find to describe how positive of an experience it was to have BE Studios photograph our wedding and we honestly cannot recommend Billy and company more. In fact, our only regret was not being able to budget for their videography services also. read more

Words cannot describe how impressed and happy we are with our wedding photography and videography from BE Studios! Billy and his team are talented artists who captured the magic of our wedding day effortlessly. It was a pleasure getting to know Billy during our engagement photo shoot, and it was that much more fun to hang out with him and Mike all afternoon on our wedding day! We had some weather drama at our wedding with unexpected rain showers, and Billy and his team remained so cool, calm, and collected throughout the entire day. Their positive energy and zen vibes were infectious and kept us grounded - they were totally unphased by the rain plan chaos and took advantage of all the different elements throughout the event (we have gorgeous rain AND sun photos). Billy and Mike helped melt away the stress that comes with rain on your wedding day, and we are forever grateful. Not only this, but we got our photos back SO quickly and I am in love with every single one of them! They are so unbelievably beautiful- I get teary-eyed every time I look at them. I only wish I had more events coming up for Billy to photograph lol! Thank you BE Studios for being such a special part of our special day, capturing memories to last us a lifetime - we are eternally grateful. read more

I feel so many happy emotions as I write this review of BE Studios. I have been working with Billy and his team professionally for many years (since BE Studios started) because I am a Wedding Planner. I recommend them to many of my clients because they are outstanding at what they do.... they are talented, professional, personable, and I have always had a stellar experience working with them. This past weekend I got to experience being a client of BE Studios during my daughter's bat mitzvah. Billy photographed my event and Jim was our videographer and I couldn't have dreamed of a better experience with a photo/video team. They are friendly, experienced, calm, and are always sure to get the perfect shots. My family and friends were delighted to interact with them, and I am confident that they did an amazing job capturing the joy of our event. I will forever be grateful for having them as part of my vendor team! read more

BE Studios was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend Billy and his team enough. I knew we made the right decision after our engagement shoot. Billy made us feel so comfortable and the photos came out amazing. I was so calm and at ease with Billy's entire team on our wedding day in La Valencia. The work product was also amazing. As my makeup artist said to me "You got Billy?! You don't even need me - Billy will make you look amazing no matter what." Hiring Billy & his team for our photography & videography is the absolute BEST investment you can make for your wedding day. My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera and Billy and his team made us feel so at ease and we just had such a fun time with them taking photos in the afternoon. Throughout the ceremony and reception, they captured all of the key moments, but weren't "disruptive" at all. And THE RESULTS!!! The photos & video were BEYOND my wildest imagination. The photos are absolutely breathtaking (I'm still shook) & the video captured our story, the feeling of our day, and our friends & family so so well. I truly cannot overstate the value of hiring Billy & his team to capture the memories of your special day. I don't even live in San Diego & I'm already trying to think of who I can recommend them to or when I might have a need to work with him again. read more

I am so grateful to have Billy and his team as our wedding videographers! From the beginning, Billy was extremely responsive via email and this is an important factor that makes a vendor great. We had 2 videographers that shot our wedding that day and they were both very friendly and professional. They were unobtrusive and stayed mostly invisible so guests did not even notice they were there. I was quite shocked to have received our highlight video in just 2 months and all of the raw footage a month after since our wedding was during the peak season (October). Billy and his team did such an amazing job putting all of the footage together. They picked the best dialogues and music that captured the key moments & emotions perfectly. My family and friends teared up watching the video. Thank you SO much BE Studios for providing us with priceless memories to look back on and relive the joy & celebration all over again. read more

We were so thankful to be referred to BE Studios by our wedding vendor for videography on our special day. If you're looking to capture every important moment of your day to have memories that will last you a lifetime, look no further! Billy's team is especially skilled and caught moments throughout the day I wouldn't have even noticed. I am so thankful and happy that we chose his team for our videography. Billy has also been very thoughtful, kind, and quick to respond to us (literally within a few minutes) pretty much any time we've had to contact him with questions. I never felt like I was being put "on the back burner" or that my questions weren't valid or important. Needless to say, we highly recommend his service. :) Thank you so much Billy & team for your patience and swift communication leading up to and after our wedding day! We are so thankful! read more

Where to even start....as people in the wedding photography industry, this vendor selection was particularly important to us. The second that we got engaged we knew one thing - Billy and his team HAD to do our photography and video. In fact, we planned our wedding date around BE Studios availability before anything else. Billy and his team are easy to work with, responsive, and all around a BLAST to have at your event. We wouldn't have trusted anyone more to capture the most important aspect to our day - photo and video. His style is bright and vivid, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of our photos. We highly recommend Billy and his team for your big day. Special shout out to Jim, Mike, and Joe for being part of our day. We just loved working with each and every one of them! read more

Billy rocked! He is a Jedi Master when it comes to the details, logistics, lighting and anything and everything that comes with photography. And since he has done tons and tons of shoots in the San Diego area, he knows where and when to take specific photos to get it just right. Engagement Shoot: At Balboa Park for an hour and he asked for our requests. He incorporated those as well as some other hidden spots and we performed a shoot where we all had fun and made the experience very special for me and Shelley. We knew after the Engagement Shoot that we had a winner and we looked forward to our Wedding day photos. Wedding Day: Billy and Sierra conducted the photo shoots. It couldn't have been better already with Billy there, and Sierra brings it up a notch where she brings in her flare and style to insure we had the best photos ever. Billy continued to be the master in his field. We brought our dog Cody as part of the experience, and he knew how to get Cody to look up for the photos at just the right moment. Billy and Sierra were all over the place taking amazing photos from the ceremony and reception at Tom Ham's Lighthouse. And thank you again to Billy for the military discount. We are super appreciative for that. read more

If Billy and his team are available for your wedding date, RUN do not walk to sign that contract and get them locked in! He is the best of the best for wedding photo/video and I can't say enough good things about him. After your wedding day comes and goes (nearly two years of planning gone in a blink of an eye) all you have left are your photos and videos. Don't you want them to be perfect?! Not only did our photos turn out so fabulous we nearly cried on our honeymoon, our video was so perfectly edited we may have watched over 100x in the last month and couldn't wait to share with friends and family. My photographer recommended I check out BE Studios to use as our videographer and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience! On the big day, they were great to work with, and guests who saw the video afterwards said, "I didn't even realize you had a videographer!", so they were very 'out of the way' but still capturing the day. 10/10 would recommend working with BE Studios on your wedding day, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

TL;DR - Billy and his team(s) are the BEST OF THE BEST. My first encounter was an email - my friend recommended him to us for our wedding because she LOVED him and his team. When I emailed him, he was so grateful for the rec and seemed like a fun dude. After tedious emails and DMs to other photographers, Billy always stood out to me. He was actually our first vendor we hired. I made the BEST decision going with Billy and his team. On a personal note - Billy Economu is quite possibly the nicest person you will ever meet. His vibe is wholesome and fun and energetic. Ok - now that we got the personal stuff out of the way - let's talk photos. HOLY CANNOLI. I LOOK GOOD IN EVERY PICTURE. I mean, yeah, my ex-boyfriend:ex-fiancé/husband also looks amazing but DAAAAAAAANG, I look good! Billy and his team did a great job telling me/us how to pose and taking the best of the best shots. At our engagement shoot, we had the most fun learning from Billy on how to pose together. He made it so easy to have fun. At our wedding... OMG he was relaxed and he was the ultimate hype man, along with Jim - his videographer! When they came into my bridal suite, I immediately apologized cuz we were 30 minutes behind and Jim said, "literally has never happened at a wedding." And i am still crackin up about his joke. I told them I wanted to ice Angelo (my human) and they helped me come up with ways to ice him... also, by matrons of honors in the background we're like "ew don't do that. That's tacky blah blah blah" and I loved how they made sure my vision of icing the love of my life would come to fruition. My matrons of honors can go kick rocks. But I digress! They also blended into the guests so well, my guests were like "who is that gorgeous person with a camera?" Oh it's just Billy and his team, Sierra, Joe, and Jim. I don't know why they were behind the cameras - they're all ridiculously good looking. They were every all at once. My sneak peeks make me cry every time I see it. They did a phenomenal job capturing the whole day... also, I blacked out at my wedding but the pictures make me seem like I was sober 100% of the time. I couldn't have asked for a better team. Billy, Jim, Sierra, and Joe - Thank you so much for your patience with us, your creativity, and your amazing personalities. We basically want to throw another wedding because of you all LOL. We can't wait to see the full BE experience! Thanks again read more

Billy is amazing!!! First off, he's just the nicest guy you'll meet and makes you feel totally comfortable (and this is coming from a person that does not know how to be in front of a camera). Billy has honestly been the best investment for our engagement and wedding. He is worth every penny and more. Since we met Billy in June of 2018 for our engagement shoot, we knew instantly he wanted to book him for our Destination wedding too. In fact, we did not book our venue until we knew Billy had the weekend free for us, he was that crucial to capturing our memories. AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY! Billy was more than professional, friendly, and excited to be part of our wedding. The guests loved him too and were already talking to him about booking their next events with him! I can see Billy becoming the next BEST photographer in San Diego. Our photos from our destination wedding are nothing but jaw dropping amazing. He made us feel like super models and more. All our friends, including those on instagram and facebook, are in love with his photos and we can't wait to get the full set. Like I said, if you are looking to hire Billy, JUST DO IT! Best Investment Yet, because he has captured memories and moments that will last LIFETIMES! Its not just a photo, but he captures emotions in that moment which is something that most photographers lack, and we are truly grateful to him for doing just that for us. I booked Billy for our family photos based on a recommendation from friends. Our uncooperative crew included a 3 month old daughter, a 2 and half year old son, an exceptionally energetic and neurotic dog, a mother-in-law who hates having her picture taken, and a mom who requested a light-unfriendly mid-morning session time because NAPS (me, I'm that mom). Somehow Billy managed to turn that hot mess in to an amazing collection of photographs. He was so engaging with my crazy toddler and seemingly unphased by my screeching, disgruntled baby. He is not only one of the nicest people I have ever met, but he is also incredibly talented and has a beautiful esthetic. I hope this review doesn't bring him an unpleasant onslaught of uncooperative toddler photo sessions. But just know that if he can handle us, he can handle anything! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Billy and his team! We hired BE studios for our photography and videography for our wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum in October 2019. We hired him based off of a recommendation from our friend, and we did not do engagement photos, so our first time meeting Billy was on our wedding day. From the second he walked through the door, he made everyone in the room feel at ease. He kept things moving and on schedule without making us feel rushed. Everyone on his team was so friendly and worked flawlessly together. We had quite a large team of people from BE studios, but we never even noticed the cameras at the ceremony/reception. The end product was AMAZING! We were blown away by our photos and video. Everything exceeded our expectations. Billy had our sneak peak photos to us (over 100 photos) less than a week after the wedding and the rest of the photos just a few weeks later. Our package included re-touching on 50 photos, but honestly they all already looked so perfect that we have yet to even get any of them re-touched. The highlight video was also done way sooner than expected (just over a month after the wedding) and it showcased all the best parts of the day perfectly. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other photographer and videographers, yet the quality far exceeds that of others. We were able to take advantage of the 10% discount for nurses, which we really appreciated. Hiring Billy and his team was one of the best wedding decisions we made! read more

Billy and his team exceeded our expectations and were very easy to work with. Billy walked us through every step of planning and made several adjustments smoothly with no hassles. Our photographer Michael and our videographer Joe were both friendly with the right energy to keep us relaxed and smiling during a long and busy day! Both guys knew our venue like the back of their hand and helped us capture some very cool images and moments. Financially, they were a great deal; a competing studio in the area quoted us at $3,000-$4,000 more for the same service. And yet the photos and video we received from them are priceless. We could not be happier we chose BE Studios for our wedding photographer/videographer. From the first day we met Billy at our engagement shoot, we felt comfortable, despite being self admittedly very awkward posing for photos. Billy knew how to get us out of our shells and make even our awkward selves look great in our photos. I happened to pick a very busy location for our engagement photos, and Billy was able to find a way to capture photos that made it look like we were the only people in the entire park. Day of the wedding, Billy and his team made the entire process smooth, fun, and even though we had 4 people around us taking photographs and videos, it still felt very intimate. I can't begin to express how grateful we are to Billy and his team. Between Billy, Mike, Jim, and Joe we had a solid crew of professionals and just all around awesome guys. I have nothing negative to say. I have been self-conscious about my body for years, and was pretty nervous about working with Billy (or ANY professional photographer). He met with me beforehand to hear my ideas, plan a date and give me some pointers. He was polite, professional and on the day of, made the experience easy going and fun. It spoke volumes to me that he listened to what I had to say and incorporated some of my ideas, but also contributed some great angles and ideas that turned out to be better than I had ever anticipated. He is kind, generous, and responsive (which is a great quality to have when you are so anxious to see the outcome)! If nothing else, follow Billy´s work on social media, and you will see that he is diverse, artistic, and wonderfully talented!
