We actually had already started the process with another bank but Melissa Miller is SO good at her job, that she stole us as customers. She gave us better rates and a better deal which saved us tons of money in closing costs that we were able to use towards other moving expenses. Not only did she beat the other bank's loan offer but she also is and was just so super efficient and nice and so quick to respond anytime we asked her questions. Even if she was unable to reply right away, she'd still text us and let us know she'd get back to us as soon as she could. Very professional and personable. Anything we needed, she was quick and happy to help. She was a lot more responsive than the other bank had been, so it was a no brainer for us to switch to her. If you're looking to get a home loan for a house in the area, I'd say use Melissa. Even our realtor team said they prefer to work with her over any other person in the area. Thanks to her being so great, we have also decided to bank with Farmers and Merchants. We've only gone in once so far for banking and already had a great experience. I wish I could remember all the names of the nice bankers at the front desk but they were all very kind. The lady who helped us was awesome and we visited with another man and woman at the front desk as well and they're all very professional. Top notch choice for banking and home loans.

After four frustrating months, a friend recommended I go to FNBC. I did, sat down and spoke with Melanie, and in a very short time had my new checking account open. Every time I have gone in to the local branch, whether for a cashier's check or just a question, I am treated like I matter. They truly know how to treat their customers. How lucky did we get!? We've had great service. A painless refinancing process, no fees, only had to gather a few documents and everything was explained simply and without pressure. Today I returned there to discuss an IRA, again with Darren Darracq (who handles both areas, something most banks don't offer apparently). He explained things honestly, even though it didn't benefit him to tell me I'm in a good situation where I am now. It's refreshing to deal with someone who isn't trying to sell you something and can talk to you as an equal. One more note: my husband went to there for a free money order (a perk that comes with our checking account) and their printers were down. It took them about 15 minutes to get it going and for his wait they credited our bank account $5. How is that for compensation! Very pleased so far.
