With plenty of spacious seating on the patio and tucked away in little corners of the garden we found a lovely little table for 3 in the sunshine. For winter months they have 2 main buildings and 2 out-houses which are very pretty and well decorated inside. Post-birthday night out I was a little worse for wear and ready for a full English and a good cup of tea unfortunately the breakfast cut off point is at 11.30 however I wasn't too disappointed as the rest of the menu left plenty of tantalizing options for me to choose from! The waitress came over to take our orders and helped me choose between 2 dishes that I was torn over. The drinks service was a little slow but the food was timey and the presentation on all the dishes was amazing! My Dad opted for a seafood platter, which came with smoked salmon, crayfish, cockles, mackerel and crab slaw all served with sourdough bread, hollandaise and aioli sauces - seafood heaven! My Mum went for the lamb and goats cheese burger that was divine! The lamb was cooked to perfection with it being pink in the middle and served with a yummy mint yogurt dip and sun-dried tomatoes. I was stuck between the club sandwich and BBQ pulled pork open sandwich. On recommendation I went for the pork, which was served, on sourdough toast with melted Monterey cheese - heaven! I was having food-envy looking at the lamb burger but was not in anyway disappointed with my pork. Finishing off our meal with the Parlour's specialty - ice creams all round! I have a new found love for the homemade lemon meringue cone... There is so many flavours including apple pie and the originals too - its an ice cream lovers heaven! Our leisurely lunch here was fab and they are also promoting the "Super Club" on the 18th of July that is a diner's paradise! With three courses plus their homemade ice cream at £25 a head it doesn't break the bank either. This place was definitely worth the 20-minute drive and I will be back to try their dinner menu!

It was a really yummy cake! The sitting rooms were so cute, we were in the garden shed , and there was the main room, and the ice cream parlour and outdoor sitting. A really well done place, with layout and set up. Sometimes tea shops along the high way have a whole room full of junk they are trying to sell to you and then cramped sitting. But not here I think I saw a few cute things for sale but mostly they were focused on their food and I was told famous ice cream! Well done for keeping the place about whats most important... the food! Friendly service and tasty treats. It was a bit slow because they were super packed and under staff. The waiter apologised for the wait and said someone had called in ill! I can only rate it on the cake and coffee because I didn't eat anything there but I imagine it would be good .

The food and drink is priced fairly well in my opinion. I first ordered a banana milkshake which was delicious, served quickly and perfectly cold! A little while later I purchased a cheese and bean jacket potato (pictured) which came at the perfect temperature (hot, but not too hot that you have to wait 10minutes before attempting to eat it!). This came with very generous amounts of topping as well as a fresh side salad. Overall a great little place and I had a lovely time sitting and sketching in here. Close to Blyth Bus Station which is very convenient. Definitely plan on visiting again & hope to become w regular! :)

I went with my 2 children to meet a friend and her young child. We sat and had a coffee and some food which was nice, however I ordered toast for my son and it arrived cold, I asked for them to replace it and they refused to do so, the attitude of the staff was awful, I was then faced with 2 of their staff standing there completely having a go at me and trying to intimidate me just because I asked for them to replace my cold toast!!! I spent 20 minutes arguing with them and in the end she replaced my toast and practically threw it at me!! upon leaving doppios the young male member of staff told me good riddance and I wasn't welcome back well except he used a lovely selection of swear words including F words infront of 3 young children, at this point I went mad, I stood my ground told them what I though and then left the shop only for this male to follow me down the street still using a very colourful language and accusing me of throwing food on the floor (we didn't as it wasn't the table we were sat at!) I will never use this place ever again and since this day I know of at least 4 companies who refuse to use this company as they had seen/heard the commotion! Stear clear of this place, there are plenty of other nice places to eat/grab a coffee in blyth it really isn't worth visiting! I hope trading standards close them down! I reported them!

Just new to Bedlington and much needed is root bean. A modern coffee shop selling a half decent…read morecuppa in a nice setting. We popped in for a light lunch. A sandwich made on artisan bread, it was ok, quite tasty but we would've liked to have seen more for £4. The deluxe hot chocolate was a disappointment, £3 is an average price for this, but it was a bit watery & squirty cream is an absolute No for us at that price. The latte was barista made but tiny for £2, a normal latte size glass would be more like it. On the plus we had a bacon croissant which was very tasty & their vegetable cakes were so delicious we had seconds. The bottle of fruit drink was delicious & we would certainly have expected to pay a premium for a drink like this, same with the lovely vegetable crisps. We would definitely return to root bean & recommend it if you are passing through Bedlington, but would suggest as they are new they've just got a bit of tweeking to do with their sizing and pricing.

Warm, friendly, hilarious, and tolerant, and the cooks in the back were also eager to join in! It was so much fun just putting our order together! We ate it overlooking the bay, and it was AMAZING ! The portions were fantastic ( trust me, the 'small' is more than enough!) It's one of the highlights of our trip, and we would do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks!!!!
