I love their crepes so much! They have amazing texture and flavor. I haven't tried any of the drinks yet, but I will definitely be back to try more!

Organic Matcha Matcha ($7.75) *Boba, Grass Jelly, Crystal Boba

Date: Monday, April 28th, 2025 Meal: Boba Delivery Delivered: via DoorDash DoubleDash Time Ordered: around 5pm Time Delivered: about 1.25 hours later Delivered to: Outer Richmond Organic Matcha Matcha ($7.75) *Boba, Grass Jelly, Crystal Boba I'm not sure why it took over an hour to deliver a boba that was just across the park, but I'm afraid the integrity of the boba suffered from the transit time. I know it's not the fault of the shop, so I am taking that info consideration. Despite the toppings, the tea itself was just okay. Didn't have that bright fresh grassy matcha flavor I adore. It was kinda murky and dull. A little weak as well, so I added more match I had at home. Maybe I'll try a tea next as their matcha is just A-OK. REVIEW #3761

    Chestnut Crepe

Not many places have chestnut special , as soon as I saw that I decided to give a try. I got chestnut cake and crepe. I don't think I will buy again, chestnut flavor was just a bit not quite there, and I don't like their crepe texture either, I used to get them from Japan town and I think I like those a lot better. I may still give a try of the boba tea next time. And worth noting for anyone interested, they have some kind of special if you purchase a gift card for certain value they will load free credit onto it , the lowest amount is $30 +$5 free credit.

3.5 stars. After learning of Mont Blanc on my recent Paris vacation, I came back to SF & started randomly seeing the dessert on offer. Why didn't I notice it before? This must be the phenomenon known as frequency illusion. We were having lunch nearby when I peeped BB Tea. I planned on stopping in for a drink, but upon seeing Mont Blanc Chestnut Cake on the menu, all thoughts of milk tea went out the window. Their version has vermicelli-like strands of chestnut purée over ice cream, cheesecake, & whipped cream. An ube version is also available. The cheesecake competes with the flavor of the chestnut & makes the dessert creamy on top of creamy. There was an abundance of fruit in my bf's Strawberry Crepe; the thin pancake cone was freshly made & had a satisfying crinkly exterior. With my Mont Blanc curiosity quelled, I may come back to give their tea drinks a try, but I won't go out of my way for it.

Kiddo wanted a sweet treat. He ordered the ube cake - he liked the ube part and thinks the cake part was like a cheesecake which he said was ok. Ordered the creme brulee milk tea at 50% sweetness. The cream part was good but the tea part could've been stronger.

Can't remember why I had this place bookmarked, but I'm so thankful for friends that help you check things off your Yelp bookmarks. We ordered the Ube and Chestnut cake. You know it's delicious when you say "It's not too sweet." The perfect amount of sweetness (at least for my Filipino self.) I loved the cakey texture and frosting richness. It was the perfect amount - I didn't feel overwhelmed afterwards. Would 10/10 recommend checking this spot out.

Decided to stop by after seeing they had the Mont Blanc dessert which seems to be a big Japanese (at least touristy) thing I keep seeing on YouTube. The ube flavored squiggles on the top were the only good thing about this dessert (and the reason for the 2 stars instead of 1). The rest was disappointing and somewhat gross. The whipped cream was of the dairy free overly sweet variety. The ice cream I believe was vanilla and was almost gummy (I get it - cheap ice cream = more profit). And the cheesecake bites were frozen solid and didn't taste great once I could finally eat it. Altogether wasn't much better. I ended up just eating the top and tossing the rest. The strawberry matcha wasn't much better. Usually one of my favorites at several other boba places, this one was bitter (not in a good balanced matcha way, in an overpowering way) and strangely sour at times (I'm guessing from the strawberries, but I assumed those were in a sugar syrup). It also tasted quite watery. Lastly, the boba was HARD. So utterly disappointing. Will not be returning. At least the place was clean and service was fine.

Creme brûlée milk tea 50% sugar, no ice and soy latte with no ice, 0% sugar.

Soy latte was expensive for a small cup ($7 not including boba), but the creme brûlée was on the cheaper side. Nice swirl on the creme brûlée cup. The soy latte cream layer was a bit thick. I did like the soy bean powder. They forgot to add the boba that I paid for but luckily I noticed it, and they added it back. They had plastic and bamboo straw options, but unfortunately, the bamboo straws kept cracking.

Warm evening so the family stopped by for some desserts. Our family ordered: 1 creme brûlée crepe 1 strawberry crepe 1 ube cake 1 chestnut oolong drink Everything was made beautifully and quickly. My favorite was the ube, it was so smooth, and reminded me of the yummy treats from Japan. The staff were kind and professional. We enjoyed each of our treats and will definitely be back soon! They currently have 2 promotions running. Buy one luxury crepe and get a second for $5.00 Buy one milk tea drink and get the second for $3.00

Chestnut crepe: I loooove a chestnut montblanc. Fresh strawberries were a nice touch. Could have done without the ice cream. She aight. Crème brûlée milk tea: she's good but nothing special. Overall place was very small with very limited seating. Drinks came at a reasonable wait time. If I happen to be in the area, I'd go again.

Food stand at Piedmont Food Fest

Tried the strawberry crepe from BB Tea's food stand, while attending the Piedmont Food Fest this past Saturday. It was delish! The thin pancake-like texture, filled with cold and creamy vanilla ice cream, topped off with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas... it was a nice little treat on a beautiful afternoon in Piedmont. The service could be a little better. There were five workers in the tent, and a large crowd of people waiting out front. The wait for my order to be ready was about 15-20 minutes... prior to that, I even stood at the order window for a bit before being acknowledged or helped. Beyond the slow service, I felt that these handheld sweet treats were a bit pricey for what you get. But the product was really good, and at least the staff was friendly, so 4 stars seems appropriate. Glad this SF tea and dessert shop could make it out to this event.

I was glad they have salted cheese available. Next time I want to try the crepes and their decaf coffee drinks!

I really liked: $6 Matcha Milk Tea cold/ hot + Solid non franchised boba shop. The cold matcha is slightly grainy but has great boba. The hot matcha solves the graininess issue but then the boba chewiness is worse. It's got great flavor either way Very #goodeats but not my absolute favorite. Cute interior too. Very inviting as well walked past it. Super standard iPad service. Just order your stuff and they'll call your name.

Every time I've gone, they had a kiosk outside that you can order and pay with tap to pay and with card!

Do they have non dairy milk option?

What are the non caffeinated bubble tea options here?

All tea (even decaf) has caffeine. However, they have non caffeinated drink options, including their slushees and yogurt drinks.

Just a quiet marble table, a tiny vase with two yellow flowers, and a slice of matcha crepe cake that makes you forget what you were stressed about. I came in on a weekday afternoon and ordered the matcha crepe cake and a passion fruit refresher. The cake is the kind that looks almost too precise to eat. Dozens of paper thin layers stacked with the kind of patience most people reserve for things that actually matter. The matcha flavor is real, not the green tea powder imposter you get everywhere else. The drinks are thoughtful too. Not sweet for the sake of being sweet. You can tell someone actually tasted these before putting them on the menu. The space itself earns its own mention. Marble counters, natural light pouring in from the street, good music at a volume that lets you actually have a conversation. It feels like someone designed it for the experience, not the Instagram photo, which ironically makes it very photogenic. 4.7 stars on Yelp with nearly 300 reviews and I understand every single one of them.
