That said if you have a special occassion like a wedding coming up then its definately worth a visit both for mummy and your little princesses. They also stock a huge range of accessories. It is a second hand shop that sells lots of different pieces of furniture from the more expensive down to real bargain items. It is like walking around an Aladdin's cave with all sorts of items to choose from. They do offer a delivery service but if you can arrange collection of the item the price is reduced by normally 20% or an otherwise discounted price as shown on the item. They continue to get new items in frequently so there always seems to be new items to view. The staff are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about their products in the shop.

Inside this store, you will find lots of kitche and home aids that you won't find in many other places in UK. A lot of them are from the USA, but unless you travel ther or have a friend or family meber who will pick things up for you, this a good place to get those special items. So on that front Lakeland is great. However, when I enter here, why do I feel like I am attending a WI meeting? Probably it's the staff. They tend to look at me, a man, and assume I don't know anything about cooking or housekeeping and that I must be in here on an errand for someone else. This feeling hasn't gone away despite me going in here many times. I still enjoy shopping here, the staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful despite being mildly patronising. Lakeland is not particularly cheap, actually it can be very expensive, but then neither are the alternatives of John Lewis or Westage Kitchenware departments cheap either. I would say that Lakeland runs a successful shop as it is well laid out and does offer good service at a cost of a little bit more that the others.

Staff are always friendly and willing to help. There is only one changing room which is very annoying, especially when I want to try on 3 or 4 items as I often feel guilty for the person waiting behind me.
