I so cannot remember the owner of this place, but hopefully I took a picture of the card and posted…read moreit here. Nevertheless, this place is phenomenal!! I believe this place is fairly new, because I so remember something else being in this spot some years ago. However, I could be wrong, but let's focus on present day... I was invited to a 50th birthday celebration here last Saturday. I had a general idea of where the place was located since I am sorta familiar with the area being a native and all. But we arrived close to 7pm and everything was all set up. My friend advised us to arrive at 6:45pm because it was a surprise party for her husband... so we popped in and everything was in tact. Even the workers were on their post awaiting to great the guest and provide service. I especially loved seeing this! I don't know about you, but I have been places where people are still setting up or put the early arrival guest in a waiting area until the main area is set. Well not at 757 events, they were on point!! I can be long winded when writing reviews, but I like to give yall an experience and feel how I felt when I visited. Especially, since this is the first review... This place is really all the rage!! Not too big of a event space, but just the right size to entertain a group of 100 maybe more. But a few tables were set up along with a few cocktail tables... a club lounge vibe it gave. I believe the owner decorate the spot, so my friend gave a vision and it came to life last Saturday night. Another big plus... the owner catered the event. The buffet set up is away from the party people... I loved this!!! I didn't have to worry about smelling like food or even the venue smelling like food! The bar set up... another big plus!! I believe the bartender was set up through the owner and he was on point too. Even though he was a one man show, he kept the drinks flowing... no complaints, all smiles!! Now the parking lot is rather small. I did not notice if more parking was behind the building. But if you arrive early enough no worries here, as we did. Overall, this place is gorgeous and far as I can see ran properly and with love! You can tell whoever is behind this, loves what they do. I highly recommend you look into this venue space for your party needs big or small. Take care and enjoy life :)

Simply amazing! I found this place on Eventective while searching for an all inclusive party venue,…read moreI am so glad I did. I emailed them and was immediately contacted by Karen, the owner. She is such a joy to work with. For someone like me that worries about every little detail, I felt comfortable leaving it all to her. She is professional, kind and makes sure you are at ease during the entire process. I told her exactly what my vision was and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The staff that was there on the day of my event were also very friendly and professional. We loved the bartender. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Not one complaint was given. You will not be disappointed if you book with 757 events. They handle it ALL, food, decorations, liquor, DJ if needed. My husband had the best surprise party ever. I will book here time and time again. Thank you, Karen, and your wonderful staff!

This review is for the pool only. The club participates in Virginia Beach Swim League in the Summer…read moreand is home to the Barracudas. Broad Bay is mainly known for it's beautiful golf course, but the pool with recent enhancements is just what they needed. BB does offer tennis too. Broad Bay Country Club is located off of Great Neck Rd. across from Cox H.S. It can get confusing finding the pool from the main entrance which is Stonehaven. Turn onto Lords Landing from Great Neck (may need to pull a u-turn if approaching from the North) and make a right at the wooden BB sign and drive up the hill. Parking is just past the pool and pretty plentiful even on swim meet days. The pool is six lanes 25 meters and is rectangular with no bump outs for diving etc . Deck space is limited. A wooden arbor area on the road side allows for limited seating and has a baby pool. Depth at the shallow end is approximately 3.5 ft and deep end 7 ft. A new large area opposite the road had a new slab put in to level a previous space off. It now boast a large canopy over the entire space and is used for events as well as seating for swim meets. It nicely done with hanging chandeliers and fire pit.. Also a new wooden structure was recently built outside the pool to post results and put up fliers of all sorts for the club. The pool sets on beautiful real estate right off the golf course. I have always found the grounds surrounding the pool to be well maintained. If you are a member of the club this is really a great space for a family to enjoy. I am not a member of this club, but from my four years of helping around this pool I would recommend checking them out for membership.

We just finished celebrating Easter brunch/Dinner today on a Saturday. We are first timers with…read moreTraditions, but I must say our family was extremely impressed from start to finish! We ordered takeaway Easter brunch that needed to be pre-heated before serving. We had a choice of shrimp and grits or salmon but since we had a larger order we were able to do half and half and have the best of both worlds. Ordering and paying ahead before the deadline online was simple! If you have questions prior to ordering just call. We had certain requests and were informed over the phone it was feasible but to type it in under the special instructions box when ordering. Everything was delivered as ordered and promised! No issues at all! Once we arrived we just called and the gentleman came out promptly to our car with a cart and our Easter brunch neatly and carefully packaged in sturdy brown handled paper bags. The kind gentleman showed us the reheating instructions and explained to us briefly the timing. He took care to inform us which bag to keep horizontal so it would not spill. It was stapled shut and handed to us in the horizontal position as well. Hence to avoid confusion and prevent disastrous spillage. This was greatly appreciated! The food was neatly and carefully packaged with each aluminum sturdy container marked with its contents. Once again very smart and greatly appreciated! We just had to pop in the entire container in the oven. No fuss, no muss. Most items ranged from 10-12 minutes to re-heat some 15-20 minutes. The quality and quantity of food did not disappoint!! Pricing is definitely not cheap but the amount and quality of food is without a doubt worth every penny!! Even better was that none of us had to cook! Win win!! EVERYTHING was delicious! But the real stars were the grand marnier bread pudding, which not everyone can get bread pudding right, but this was heaven on earth for sure! The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was flavorful and a good size. The shrimp and andouille sausage shrimp and grits were hearty and delightful! Crab cakes with aioli.. slap me happy with seafood -very good! The food list goes on and on.. and I'm not complaining! The mushroom quiche with goat cheese was another big hit along with the breakfast foods of honey baked ham with pineapples and pecan and applewood bacon. We are soo full we haven't even tried the coconut pie! Thank you,Traditions, for helping to make our Easter a pleasant one with our bellies full and content. Feeling very blessed! Thank you, Jesus, and Amen!! P.S. Thank you Shawn Hoffman for calling us back to answer our questions!

My family hired Traditions to cater their business's company Christmas party at Chesapeake Golf…read moreClub that was last week. Everything was beautifully decorated. There were Christmas trees, Christmas lights strung, and the tables were gorgeous with green and red linens and white chinaware. Along the wall was a beautiful display of hors d'oeuves like artichoke and spinach dip with crackers and pita points, cheese, and fruit. The dip was delicious! They had coffee, lemonade, tea for drink. The servers gave out the salad. It was lovely display of greens with cucumber and tomato. On the table were the boats of ranch or Italian vinaigrette. This also was delicious. On the far back wall was where they had the buffet style dinner. They had roasted potatoes, rice pilaf, and asparagus for the sides. The potatoes and asparagus were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I didn't feel the same for the rice. It was completely tasteless and left me disappointed. The main entrees were roasted sirloin with horseradish sauce and a pepper crusted salmon with mango cilantro. The sirloin was not really hot and also not seasoned well enough. The sauce was delicious though. The salmon was picturesque. It looked like it was out of a cooking magazine, and I wanted to love this so much buuuut my salmon was just a tad undercooked. I want to make this clear: everyone I talked to enjoyed their meal. I had someone tell me their salmon was over cooked. I had another loved their roast. And another dislike it as much as I did. There was a complete mix of opinion when it came to their food. Maybe it was just the menu selection that was chosen. Anyway, this place was great! I'd definitely come back again. The servers were great, the decor was lovely. Come check them out!

This review is longgg overdue as our wedding was June 6th but I couldn't pass up on the opportunity…read moreto praise this venue and their amazing staff. From the initial inquiry, to the tour, to the tasting, and ALL and I do mean all the emails in-between The Gala 417 was nothing short of amazing. We loved the fact this venue was all-inclusive as we no longer reside in the area... it made things so seamless. The only external vendors we had were DJ, baker (wedding cake), linens (only because I wanted purple and gold for our theme), florist/drapery, Photo Booth, photographer, and videographer. As a type A personality who opted not to have a wedding planner I loved the accessibility of the portal and the virtual meetings. The staff even sent pictures of other weddings, chargers, seating plans, dessert table inspo...really anything that I asked for. One of our vendors accidentally sent swatches to the venue and they reached out to us and held on to them so my dad could pick them up. ALSOOOO THE RENTAL COLLECTION DESERVES ITS OWN REWARD!!!! I lovedddddd being able to use the mirror, signage, flawless candles, candle holders, the podium, and the Bentley exit with our leftover funds (due to decreased guest count). The car service even transported us to our hotel at the end of the night. I've had future Gala couples ask me if they should get a wedding planner or coordinator and I told them that would honestly be a waste. I provided our table seating arrangements, name cards, and TL of the day and felt at east through the ceremony. I have to give an HUGE shoutout to Mariah!!!!! She coordinated with my cake designer and florist, helped me navigate a drapery design issue, found my mother in law's fan, kept me and my husband cool during photos, fluffed my train, navigated unexpected guest issues, and probably more that I didn't even see lol. When she told us she was leaving a little after the reception (because she had a wedding the next day) we were genuinely sad and a bit freaked out haha but it was an amazing night. My only and I do mean only con was that during the party portion of our reception a small group of teens/young adults (like 3 or 4) entered the venue space in search of a bathroom (I think due to the proximity to the pier and other restaurants). But we were able to get them out quickly and then had staff near the entrance from that point on. The next day all of our left over items (I'm talking florals, shoes, tuxedo jackets, grand exit lights, hangers, easels, dress bags, and then some) were waiting for us in one area. The items we brought were packed up as we had given to them and I cannot tell you how appreciative I was that they saved the last bit of our wedding cake (we legit had one bite). They even packed up 2 meals that weren't eaten by guests and our extra cupcakes. Even with them being a popular venue with weddings throughout the weekend we felt prioritized and sooo appreciated all of the warm touches and the personalized card! Our family and guests only had great things to say about our wedding and it goes without saying The Gala team did that. Thank you all for making #MylesToGo an amazing celebration!!!!

Fast forward, the entire staff was amazing!! From Mariah dealing with my type A/B personality effortlessly LOL (LOVE HER!), the bar staff listening to our requests and being so personable, the food being hot at dinner, the room flip being exactly what we asked for, our little surprises staying as such until it was time for them, I could go on for days. Our wedding was LITERALLY the BEST day of our lives and it wouldn't have been without this amazing team. We were able to be present and enjoy our day, free of any stress. Our guests echoed the same sentiment and they say it's the best wedding they've been to. We are so thankful to the whole fam at Gala 417! We hope to see you all again! Go on the tour!
