All they did was charge the battery on an electrical issue that was draining the battery. Never found or looked for the cause of the drain of the battery. Now we are back at another dealership trying to get the actual problem solved. They are not worth the time. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Bayside Prince Frederick Chevy. On January 8th, I brought my 2018 Silverado in for an oil change, as I have done since purchasing the vehicle new in 2018. While there, I inquired about my Bayside for Life warranty, as it had been some time since I last checked on it. I was informed that I had $5,000 in coverage through Bayside for Life and an additional $4,000 in BG warranties for products used in my truck, totaling $9,000 in warranty coverage. Given this, I asked how much it would cost to replace the engine in my truck. I was quoted between $8,000 and $9,000 for an engine replacement, which gave me peace of mind knowing that my truck would be covered in the event of an issue. However, after I received my truck back following the oil change, I immediately noticed a loud ticking noise coming from the lifter--something that wasn't present when I dropped the truck off. The dealership claimed the ticking was already there, which was untrue. I returned the truck to the dealership, only to be told I would have to pay a $200 diagnostic fee. They discovered a bent push rod and proceeded to recommend that I pay $1,400 for them to take the engine apart to scope the camshaft. After further discussion, I was given a final bill of over $8,100 for repairs. I questioned the high price, especially since I was previously told that an engine replacement would cost between $8,000 and $9,000. The dealer was now attempting to replace far more parts than necessary, including 24 injectors, even though my truck only has 16 injectors. They pressured me into a "courtesy" offer, claiming I had 24 hours to accept a $1,000 discount, but the paperwork was delayed for several days, and the offer felt like an attempt to rush me into paying a large sum for unnecessary repairs. Additionally, they initially claimed they didn't have a rental car available, but after a brief conversation, they managed to find one for me. Despite being a loyal customer for years, the treatment I received was both unprofessional and unethical. I wrote a letter to the dealership's management, but my concerns were dismissed, and they claimed there was nothing they could do. They also informed me that my warranty had been voided due to a few oil changes being slightly overdue, which they never communicated to me at the time. I had always scheduled my services with them, believing I was covered by the warranty. When I threatened to leave a negative review, they offered to reassemble my truck at no charge, presumably to avoid the bad publicity. Upon picking up the truck, I discovered that they had not actually repaired anything--they had only removed the engine cover. Moreover, they claimed the engine head was cracked, but this turned out to be false. My mechanic confirmed that the head was intact and that the only issues were a faulty lifter and bent push rod, which they had tried to charge me excessively for replacing. The entire experience was a series of deceptive practices designed to pressure me into paying for unnecessary repairs. I was quoted outrageous prices for parts and labor, including $2,500 to replace a single injector, which my mechanic later confirmed should cost no more than $300. They even lied about cracking the engine head and tried to charge me for repairs that were never performed. In the end, I feel misled, manipulated, and taken advantage of by this dealership. They know exactly what they are doing and are willing to deceive customers to make a profit. I will never return to Bayside Prince Frederick Chevy, and I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership as well. I had a terrible experience at this dealership's service center, if I could give 0 stars or negative stars I would. First and foremost, the communication was non-existent. I dropped off my car first thing Saturday when they opened (2024 Chevrolet Corvette with 235 miles on it and still in the break-in process) and waited in the waiting room expecting updates. The service advisor came in later and said he had no record of my appointment (see pic of email confirmation below showing a record of the appointment booked). After another hour or so they said they didn't want to rush and wouldn't finish my car until Monday and that I should "find a ride since having the customer in the waiting room makes them nervous" (they offered to give me a ride, but no loaner). I specifically said at least 3 times: at check in, advisor talking to me in waiting room, and as I was leaving the dealer with a ride "call or text me and keep me updated, and NO TEST DRIVES, unless I'm driving the car or riding in the car." After the whole day went by, I never heard a word from them before they closed for the day. Monday morning before 930 am (dealer opened at 730am), I called on my own to check up on them after getting a notice that the car was driven 10 miles. Further analysis showed about 1.11g of fuel consumption and a corresponding 9mpg of fuel economy (compared to my average of 20mpg). I was transferred around a couple times, and then they hung up on me, about 30 minutes later I get a call back from my advisor to say the car was ready for pickup so I headed over right way. When I arrived at the dealership and checked in with my service advisor, my car was sitting out on the lot under a tree instead of in the indoor service lane for outgoing cars. Additionally, I was shocked to find that no actual work had been done. They had simply cleared the codes and told me they found no issues with the car and weren't sure why it had a check engine light with a list of 8 error codes. It felt like a complete waste of time. To top it all off, I discovered they had test-driven my car without my permission to which the dealer said I never said anything about test drives. Even through he tried to reassure me that the techs will not go joyriding in sports cars, he was extremely unconvincing. This lack of respect for my property is unacceptable. Red mist metallic. VIN:1G1YM3D43S5502330. I traded in my new, two week old 2025 Corvette Eray. Rapid Blue. Vin :1G1YL2D4XS5503083. I only owned that car for two weeks, and it only had a total of 67 miles before driving it to the Bayside dealership. My car was always garage kept and in brand new mint condition. First, I want to say my salesman Dallas Roberts was very nice, as well as the Sales Managers, Shane Hammett, and Jay Wedick. BUT, I am very upset, and dissatisfied. I feel taken advantage of on my trade in car value. My trade in car was a 2025 Corvette, and had a new sticker price of $127,565. Only 2 weeks old, and 67 miles. Bayside Chevrolet Dealership only gave me a trade in value of $106,000 for my car. That is a difference of $21,565. I feel for my car having ONLY 67 miles before I drove it to the dealership, that the trade in value was extremely low, and not fair. I expressed my disappointment in the trade in value to the sales staff before I signed any paperwork. And I politely said to them, that I would be giving a negative review because of my trade in value on the customer GM review experience. I was hoping the dealership would have said to me how can we make your Bayside experience better. But the response to my disappointment from Sales manager Shane Hammett was, "that's what happens when a new car is driven off the lot". Sales manager Jay Wedick said to me as I was leaving the dealership after the deal was done, "Try not to beat us down too much on my GM review. Also at Bayside Chevrolet, I did apply my GM discount towards my purchase, as I worked at the GM automotive plant in Wilmington Delaware. As a past GM employee, I'm ashamed of how I was treated in this Bayside car purchase. The GM discount had nothing to do with my trade in value. Bayside Chevrolet sales managers absolutely knew what kind of an amazing car I was trading in. My car is now listed on the Bayside Chevrolet website, and I saw their comment describing my car. This is what they said about it. I quote: "A truly rare find, this like new One Owner 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 2LZ has just 151 miles and is virtually showroom fresh. The original owner opted for a different color, creating a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most sought-after Corvettes available today without the wait." Also the listing says "Our Promise - Simple. Honest, Fair " Not to mention my trade in car is being listed at $115,000, and I was only given $106,000. A $9,000 difference. In closing, the sales staff at your dealership knew I was buying this new 2025 Corvette as a surprise for my wife, and they knew that I really wanted it for her. I have to say, if I wasn't buying this car for her, I would not have purchased it because of my trade in car value. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing any future cars from Bayside Chevrolet. 1. They recommend unnecessary things. 2. They're extremely overpriced! 3. They did not fix the problem! I'll start with last April I was failing Emmisons. They said something needed a new part that cost me $1,500. Paid it! Had it done! Went back to Emmisons and failed AGAIN!. Took it back to bayside. They Said "OH some other thing needs to be replaced but don't worry! This part is covered under warranty" so yeah they got me for $1500 that time for something that was apparently unnecessary! This time! My car keeps over heating. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY COOLANT SYSTEM. My engine shut down and I had it towed there to hopefully help. They of course recommend I need a new oil pan. And a new catalytic converter... mind you that has nothing to do with my coolant line. They put in the new coolant reservoir that I had the part in my car already. $180 for that super simple job! Oh after they charged me $200 just to hook it up to the code reader! Insane! You can go right around the corner to auto zone and they will do the code reader for free! But OKAY OK whatever! I just need my car to work! I did the $300 spark plug tune up service! Also WAY overpriced! Whatever okay! If that will keep the engine from shutting down fine! Picked it up this morning. Took it home first and hooked it up to our code reader and P00B7 it says which is a code for the coolant flow. They didn't even have that on their list of codes they gave me. I cleared it out thinking ok well they did the reservoir if there was something else wrong they would have found it... Went to work.... Overheats!!!!! Look under the hood and there is no coolant! They didn't even look at what I asked!!! There is obviously a leak somewhere! There is something still wrong with The friggin coolant system... they put the reservoir in for me but didn't check to see if that fixed the actual problem I guess! They were more worried about trying to charge me $875 for new front Rotors and break pads! I road over to Advanced Auto and grabbed the rotors and pads for my Dad to help me put on . $180 !!! for the parts. We can do that ourselves. I paid them $663 and my car is still not working properly! They want to put in a new oil pan for $1500! I looked up the part cost $90 I have AWD and asked a different shop owner I know. Said he'd charge me $500 if I buy the part. That's almost 1k cheaper! They are just money hungry! The ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars is because Ashley there is kind and does try to explain everything the best she can! And it's not her fault I know for the recommendations and prices coming from the technician garage. But I'm sorry! I will not be purchasing my next car from them and definitely will not be going back for service and repairs! I have only dea with them this long because I had a supposed warranty.... Well that never turned out to be helpful really besides the oil changes...I am very upset with them! My car is at another shop hopefully actually being repaired! I can only pray! $663 down the drain! So the Chevrolet service manager steps in and has to take it back herself after she showed the service writer where the oil change was on the ticket. wonder how long our 15 minute oil change will take???? read more

Buyer beware. I have had nothing but problems with this dealership since I bought my used car from them two months ago. I drove 3.5 hours to look at a car and was told that someone else was coming to look at it first but they ended up backing out (salesman tactic I'm sure but still annoying). They tried to devalue my trade by saying it needed repairs that I was told by an actual manufacturer dealership weren't necessary. They tried to tack on a "reconditioning" fee of $995 for things that definitely didn't need to be done. After being there for hours and everything was said and done, I ended up buying the car and leaving at 9pm to head home. The tire pressure light went on for one of the tires. I just assumed that tire was low so I stopped to fill it up. The next day, the pressure as low again. Due to going on vacation, I wasn't able to get the tire looked at for another week and a half. There ended up being a 6 inch tear in the inside side wall so the whole tire needed to be replaced (I had to find a tire on eBay for $200). Also, I was missing a lugnut on that tire so I called the dealership to ask if they had it. The response was "Oh yes, I've had it on my desk since the day after you bought the car. Do you want me to send it to you?" You would think that person would have mentioned that to me. After talking to the sales manager and complaining, they sent me a whole new set. There were also three items I accidentally left in the trunk of the car I traded in. I called the next day to ask if the items could be shipped to me. I was told that those items were not found in the car, even though I'm 100% sure I left them in there because I was going to transfer them to the new car. Just another example of how this dealership is not the most trustworthy. Another issue I was told is that my car had potentially illegal exhaust in the state of PA (where I live and the dealership knew that). This was a surprise to me as I was told that there was nothing aftermarket on the car and the dealership failed to mention anything about the exhaust being specially made. This caused me to have to do some research for PA and figure out how I could get it to pass inspection. Also, my temp tags and registration expire 6/18. It is 6/13 and I still have not received my PA registration card or sticker. I have called multiple times and have been told "it's in the mail and should be there soon". So we will see what happens with that. Overall, these issues combined will keep me from ever giving this dealership my business again. I bought a pick up truck from Bayside because they told me all about the "free oil changes for 1 year, free car washes with multi point inspection etc etc, bayside for life rewards program they do... Not only are the people there extremely rude and act like you are a inconvenience to them when setting up service. I had a oil change done and when my wife showed up next day to get the truck it was dirty and hadn't been washed so she didn't think the service had been done to the truck yet. But when asked they said " if you want it washed you will have to wait another 2 hours , we don't have anyone to wash it " .... that was no problem because it's just a wash, but I was a little annoyed that they sold me this package with unlimited washes but " hey no big deal! " Two days later I'm sitting at a stop light and my truck starts to shake very bad and shortly after the check engine light comes on .... I pull over to the nearest park and ride and check my oil and it's dangerously low! I added 1 & 1/2 quarts of oil to my truck and the light went off and the shaking stopped. I called to let know what had happened with the truck and the gentleman on the phone by no surprise was rude and rushed me off the phone telling me that a manager would give me a call back. I never received a phone call and I have never taken the truck back for " free oil changes ". I now pay for my oil changes instead because I can't take the chance of my truck not being serviced correctly and blowing up on me. I don't know if the staff and employees there just don't have the experience and or flat out just don't care but don't buy a vehicle here thinking your getting some great service package with it. The issue there is in its self Mysterious I have a 2017 Malibu and my Excelerator has to be replaced. So Shawn tells me the part is suppose be delivered on Monday2/18 Now I called on Tuesday 2/19 because he didn't keep his word to calling me about the part Monday! I was told Tuesday by Shawn he doesn't know when the part is coming. Per Shawn no tracking number to know when it is coming. He says it's a Foreign part whatttt???? So I asked for a Loaner- Shawn ..... tells they don't give Loaners fo this. Problem. WTF seriously. Here's The topper my Niece died and I needed my car with said problem. This past weekend I was helping my friend look for a used car in Southern Maryland and received very poor and aggravating service from some of the sales reps from Bayside Chevy in Prince Frederick. I was surprised to see that the dealership had won an award recently when we had such a bad experience. We were being helped by Frankie and Paul. I think we were misled by Paul to believe that the car my friend was interested in was still available even though it had already sold and that we would maybe settle for a different car. Unfortunately, we had to drive for an hour to figure this out though we called first to confirm the car was still available. If someone were to ask me to recommend a car dealer in the area I would steer them away from Bayside. My friend ended up buying a car from the Jeep dealership instead where we had much better service. My Dad devoted over 20 years of his life manufacturing cars in the US and it is really sad to see the product of the efforts of hardworking people like him squandered by poor salesmanship. read more

The new vehicle purchase was relatively painless. The salesman neglected to point out that the new vehicle did not have cruise control. I didn't think to look for it. Had I known, I would have purchased a different vehicle. The solution is for the dealer to pay for an aftermarket cruise control. The appointment is scheduled for 9 Jan 2018 due to holiday traveling constraints. I blame GM for building a vehicle that has steering wheel audio controls, touch screen radio, Bluetooth to pair my cell phone, configurable electronic instrument panel, tire pressure monitoring, but no cruise control. An hour and a half later they came out and said I never confirmed with them so they didn't have what I ordered and they tried to sell me something else at a higher price. After 20 minutes of waiting for a manager they finally agreed to do what they originally told me they would do for the price they said they would. It then took them another 2.5 to do it. We bought 4 new tires and had the tires put on, wheel alignment, new wipers put on. Paid a total of $985.00 on Friday. Monday, while on the way to work on Rt.4 the left front tire comes OFF and goes rolling down the road! It was very hard to steer my pick up truck to the median strip on 3 wheels! Luckily I was able to avoid hitting another vehicle. And luckily the tire that came off didn't cause an accident. My shoulder was hurt trying to steer the truck to safety. Of course my pickup had to be towed. I had to go to the ER for my shoulder pain. And now a follow up with an orthopedic Dr. and PT. I have to be off work until I can use my arm. I went to Bayside Chevrolet Service Dept. and told them what happened. So far, no resolution. Well, it's been 10 days since the wheel came off and damaged my truck :fender, running board,etc. My truck won't be ready for 5 more days.(NOT being repaired by Bayside!) STILL no resolution from Bayside when it's clearly their fault the tire wasn't put on properly! read more

I am convinced this place does not want to sell cars. I've been there four times over the past year and a half trying to buy three different vehicles. They add ridiculous "recertification fees," lowball you on your trade so much that it is offensive, and seem to have no interest in actually closing a deal. The last time I was there the [clearly inexperienced] sales manager Corey was condescending and uninterested. I have also witnessed smoking employees (Jeff) enter vehicles with lit cigarettes as they bring them around for customers. No wonder most of their vehicles smell like smoke. Both of the last two vehicles I was attempting to purchase there were still there weeks later and listed at LOWER PRICES than I had offered, and they didn't bother to call me back once. I have never experienced a dealer who doesn't call you back at least one. So much for "SIMPLE, HONEST, and FAIR." These guys are fantastic! Haven't purchased a car here yet, or had major repairs done, but I would be very comfortable doing either. We have a 4Runner and Prius. With the exception of the young man who greeted me when I pulled into the garage the rest of your staff was very robotic and nonchalant. One of them the man who checked me in didn't even make eye contact with me the whole way through. You really didn't make me feel like a valued customer and I actually have been there before. However I did see the same people treat others with smiles and handshakes and even walked over to them, whereas I felt disregarded. This was doing the check-in and the checkout process. But again the person who drove my car away that young man was nice everyone else needs to work on their disposition customer service and overall attitude to treat everyone fairly and equally. read more

Timing is everything to some people, I been waiting for my hard tags for over a month, My temporary tags expire in 8 days. I spoke to the bayside representatives on a Friday and I was promised to received the hard tags to my car the following Wednesday. I'm writing this review on Thursdays...I hope I get my tags before the weekend! read more

This is a true statement and if anyone needs proof ask I have pictures and videos. Because had my brand new Chevrolet Malibu for a leak in my car and the car was soaked with mold growth. They ran water on my car for 2 weeks trying to find leak. When they found it they said they fixed it but they didn't. They never gave me a loaner car and said they checked for mold but when I got the car back I had it tested and yes it was horrible. If you want to see the test I have it. They lied about this and it can make you very sick. A couple days later my car was soaked again and continued to smell horrible. I took it back to them and the service manager looked inside my car and finally took it a bit more serious. It was left open with the hood up all day on Easter with the place closed for anyone to take what they wanted out in the parking lot. I have pictures with the date. They have had my car again for 18 days and never call to tell me what's happening. Just rode by and took pictures and the car has no seats, no carpet, motor is sideways with black tar on the parts and it's just sitting not being worked on in the parking lot. The big shot Tom won't even come out and talk to me about it he makes some service women that says she doesn't understand them.They also left my car open in rain with my address in car for anyone to get but Tom the owner said if they get it and come hurt my family they have cameras so they will be able to identify them. Please don't go there they are liars. Let me know if you want photos or video proof. Write on here and I'll text them to you.
