Clearly this water front cafe is a favorite spot for the locals that appreciate good food that doesn't caters to the Bay Area tourists. They serve breakfast and lunch all day so you should not have an issue answering your cravings when you dine here. The place is small so certain times of the day you might have to wait to be seated. The staff was great and they can get you a coffee or juice order while you're waiting.

Salmon, eggs, onions and cream cheese.

We never would have found this out if the way diner if friends hadn't brought us here. A great looking extensive menu with lovely fresh ingredients. I had salmon, eggs c onions and cream cheese. It was delicious and a good sized portion. They make substitutions easily so I had fruit instead of potatoes and toast. Can't wait to go back and delve into the menu.

This place exceeded my expectations! I was thinking a solid 4 star (which is still good), but this place was an easy 5. Meaning I'll definitely be back!!! First things first, breakfast is served all day. Hallelujah for you and all the customers! The service was great, food came out fast and it was a fun location. Overall food ratings: New years special (huevos rancheros with shrimp) - 5/5 Banana pancakes - 5/5 Fruity tooty - 5/5 (note that there is a bit of tart with the cranberry French toast - 5/5 Bacon - 5/5 Scrambled eggs - 4/5 (good but scrambled eggs are never anything wildly special) The portions are very generous! Banana pancakes were best imo. Will be coming back for those. Top 3 banana pancakes of my life. The inside was festive for the holidays and everyone was cheery. Fun to walk around the Marina area after too.

Locally owned friendly deli with daily specials. They have a wide selection of breakfast and sandwiches. We had the fish taco special which was delicious and wished they could have it as a regular selection and the Reuben sandwich with fries. Their meals are generous portions. The staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable.

We went here on a Saturday around 2:20pm for lunch and there was no wait! We were quickly seated and they gave us our menus. We ordered the Crunch! and the Ultimate Club with Potato Salad. The Crunch! item is basically like a plate of nachos, but in a breakfast style, which I thought was cool. I've never had breakfast nachos before, but it was still a good combo of toppings. The Ultimate Club sandwich was also very good and I liked how much meat it had with the bread being perfectly toasted. For the Ultimate Club item I got, it came with a side of your choice and I chose Potato Salad. I wasn't a huge fan of the Potato Salad since I felt it was a little too mushy for my liking. I'd recommend this place! All of the main entrees tasted good, but I would avoid the potato salad. Maybe stick with one of their fries or mashed potatoes if your meal comes with a side.

As a Sausalito resident I can't believe it took me this long to check out Bayside Cafe. Filled with regulars on a Monday morning, larger than it appears on the outside. I'm a tough critic of tuna melts and this one was good. Extra points for sweet potato fries option without an up charge.

Huevos rancheros

This was a quick stop on our way to the Marine Mammal Sanctuary in San Francisco. The breakfast was good and we were able to keep an eye on our car since it had all of our luggage and such, so that was nice. I got the huevos rancheros which was really good. We got a mix of other items within our party and all thought it was pretty delicious. Overall, it was a nice stop and would go back if we were in the area again.

Eggs Benedict and All in One

Love their food! Easily one of the best brunch places in the Bay Area with amazing choice of breakfast dishes. The eggs Benedict and all in one are our favourites and we keep going back on weekends. Service is great and food is served quickly despite the crowd. Highly recommend!

This is THE breakfast spot my friends and I come to whenever we drive up to Mount Tamalpais. The ambiance is cute and quaint, and can be very very busy during weekends and/or brunch time so be prepared to wait. I always order their salmon bagel alongside one of their freshly squeezed juices. This spot never fails!

Great, local, down to earth diner with friendly servers. Only wished they didn't rush you out by giving you the bill before you're ready.

Got it. I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little…read morewitty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"

The food was delicious like I remembered. I ordered the moules marinières (the same as last time) and was happy I did. Mussels were good-sized and nicely steamed, the broth was excellent... just wish they'd provided more than one slice of bread with the dish because there was a lot of good sauce left to soak it up. My friend had the oeuf à la coque and loved it, especially the truffle butter. The one downside was that we had no silverware or napkins at the table. The waiter did not notice, nor did we until we went to start eating and had to get his attention to bring us settings. The drinks were another story. I ordered a non-alcoholic wine and after waiting some time, was told they didn't have it. I was offered to see the drink menu again and the waiter said he'd bring it right to me but must have gotten sidetracked because he forgot, and I had to flag him down. I decided on a vodka flight since the vodkas are distilled and bottled by the owners and thought it was worth a try... the French wheat, Espelette chili, and Williams pear. Food arrived before the drinks did. The waiter came back and asked me again what vodkas I had ordered. When the flight finally showed up I'm pretty sure all three were the Espelette chili despite me ordering three different ones. It wasn't worth the time to confirm as we had to catch the ferry back to San Francisco, but noted here as it was disappointing. Little cards naming each vodka would be a nice touch... though it wouldn't have helped much in my case. Also, a proper tasting set instead of three loose glasses would help too. Hopefully this was just a one-off. Still a cute spot worth stopping at if you're spending time in Sausalito.
