I have never had problems with getting information from any other title company until I worked with Elite. On the first I had to jump through hoops and hurdles and after 2 weeks I received a warranty deed. None of the other info I requested on the certificate. On the second I have sent 1 email and had a phone conversation and still can't confirmation that a closing was completed that was scheduled 9 calendar days ago. I am still waiting and calling for a warranty deed, contact for the buyer, at least.

My wife and I purchased this home about 18 months ago we had planned on retiring here one day. Our main residence is in Michigan. We put a lot of money and hard work into the Florida home. We decided to sell it because it was just way too expensive to maintain. In fact, it cost more to maintain the Florida home than it did to maintain our Michigan home. When we put the Florida home up for sale all we were trying to do was break even but that did not happen. Thanks to Mary Schmidt we did not accomplish our goal. When Mary came to our home in Fort Meade she came for a friend instead of coming as a realtor. She was very unprofessional, rude, and arrogant with her attitude. She was at our home for over an hour and she was going through the home as though she owned it. I was in earshot of her so I could hear everything she was saying to her friend. She kept telling her "Are you sure you want this house it doesn't have a carport and you know you really need a carport in Florida" and the road is really noisy are you sure??? I swear if she would have been a man I would have punched her in the mouth. She really made me angry. Then when her friend decided that they were ready to place a bid on our home she had them lowball us to compensate for our home not having a carport. We were asking 189.900 for our home and she had them offer 175,00 Really? We did not want to play the bid war game but Mary kept it going. She even had enough nerve to try and get us to include some of our very expensive furnishings in the deal. My wife was getting very nervous because it was a cash deal and those are far and few. I guess Mary decided she would pretend she didn't do anything wrong so she offered up some of her commission to strengthen up her friends offer on our home. At this point, we were running out of time before we had to be back home in Michigan so we took the offer. It didn't end there on the day of closing Mary did the walkthrough and announced to my wife and me that the new owners were going to build a garage. Really??? Is that something we needed to know after all the things you did? My wife and I have bought and sold many homes but we have never seen anyone quite as unprofessional as Mary Schmidt.
