All our food was delicious and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're visiting Rudesheim. We sat outside on the patio which had a nice ambience. Also tried an appetizer (enough for a meal on its own) of a cheese marinated in an onion sauce covered with chopped onions on slices of fresh dark bread - surprisingly tasty, though they were surprised and seemed a little worried that a foreigner would order it lol. We were the only non-Germans there, among 4 largish tables that are expected to be shared. Dinner for 2, including 3 glasses of wine, was only €45. Cash only - they have no internet connectivity (no cell signal, let alone wi-fi, which was a good opportunity to disconnect and let time slow down), but there's an ATM nearby.

I know it is an Italian restaurant but we wanted to sample some German culture so we had the breaded Chicken Schnitzel with French fries and cranberries. It was a good choice. Two thinly cut pieces of chicken breast fried to perfection and the French fries were cooked fresh and needed no seasoning. The service was very good and friendly and English was not a problem with our waiter. The prices were very good and it would have been more expensive in the United States. There were lots of options in town and we chose the right one.
