The museum has many areas to visit, and like many museums a lot to read. Most of the exhibits had the information in English, so that helped a great deal. It was a great introduction to our visit to the beach later that day. The gift shop sells small glass bottles with cork stoppers that have D Day inscriptions on them. Be sure to pick one up if you are headed to the beach later, as you can use them to collect a little of the beach to take home with you.

Having said that the D-Day Experience in Carentan, the Overlord Museum at Omaha Beach and the Pegasus Memorial are better. Plenty more stalls to buy vintage stuff. Inside the museum is excellent with a great timeline, displays and a lovely memory wall. Interesting also for a nice mix of German and Allied equipment. A great visit.
