Meet the Business Owner: Mark R.
I was born in Baton Rouge on December 29, 1961. My childhood was spent in Uptown New Orleans, just behind the zoo (a fitting address for me and my three brothers.) After high-school, I spent five interminable years in the US Navy, the final three of those years onboard the USS Independence, CV62, an old, oily, creaky, rusty, smelly aircraft carrier, nearly as old as was I. I have outlived her. After leaving the Navy, I began my (never ending, yet) pursuit of the wonderful and amazing secrets of mathematics.
I attended LSU in Baton Rouge and the University of Tuebingen in Tuebingen, Germany. I studied mathematics at both institutions. After graduation, I worked as a mathematics teacher in both public and private schools here in Baton Rouge. Now, I am tutoring students who just can't seem to grasp math.
What a journey!
