Admittedly didn't know what this was (other than what was left from a medieval wall) until I went to post my photos. It's picturesque but basically just another landmark. Didn't even see any signage. Though did see a group being led by (what looked like) a Musketeer so there must be some history here. Just behind the big cathedral so an easy add on and maybe you can learn more about it. read more

I'm a big Hundertwasser fan and this is one of my favourite buildings of his. It was the last one…read morehe designed before he died but it wasn't finished until after his death. On the groundfloor there's a cute selection of stores and also a café that serves fantastic cappuchino and paistries. If you're in Magdeburg, this is a must see.
