Staff - including the chiropractors - were always excellent. Can't say that enough. I always enjoyed working with Dr. Basler and thought he was knowledgeable and it seemed like he was very good at adjustments. I never felt like I was at risk of being injured like some people think. Front desk is super polite and they always remembered my name. Nice environment overall. I ended up going for about six months and I felt pressured to keep going even though my pain had gone away months before that. They would've been an easy 5 star for me if they would've seen me until my insurance stopped covering and then told me that I was welcome to come back if I felt it was necessary. I had already been telling them I was feeling much better by that point. However, they kept insisting that I come back for more and more appointments and unfortunately I kept going because I'm kind of a pushover. That's my own fault, I realize that. I wish they would've spent a little more time on me as well, but it ended up being just a 2 minute readjustment every time I went in. There wasn't much focus on the source of the problem. I would've liked to discuss my posture and my sleep positions to determine if any of that was problematic. But instead it was neck crack, back crack, exit. I did bring those things up occasionally, but they never really examined them. Just brief conversations. Overall, I think that it was a good service for the first month or two. I was having pretty severe pains when I first went in and they eventually went away. Was that because of the adjustments or was it something that kind of just went away on its own? I'm not sure. Maybe a little bit of both. My recommendation to the business would to give people a chance to bow out without making them feel guilty. If I had gone for 2 months and then developed back pain again farther down the line, I would go right back in and get it taken care of at Basler. I get the care plan model and the purpose of it, but sometimes it seems like it's all about the money and less about my wellness. I am unlikely to go back just because I don't want to get caught up in the cycle again. read more

Very unprofessional and rude way of building rapport. I have been receiving chiropractic care locally for years being that I am a professional artist. I took a chance on a new style and doctor. WARNING - This style of chiropractic care is not very everyone. I found the chiropractor very condescending. When I asked Dr. Basler what his name was after he handed me his card and he said "you can refer to me as CAPTAIN." On my first visit with the "Captain" he made it clear that I talked too much. He sat close to me with his head in his hands, told me it was funny that I talked too much. This obviously made me uncomfortable. I decided the next day it was a good idea to bring my husband with me. I'm really glad I did as it brought out a new side of the Captain's personality. At the next meeting, one thing that shocked both my husband and I, was the fact that he kept looking at my husband and saying, "I had no idea you were going to be here today" both when talking about the LONG FINANCIAL COMMITMENT, and the X-Rays. Let's talk about the X-Rays as that is what I was excited about. I went to ask a question about these X-Rays during our meeting on day 2 with my husband in the room and the "Captain" had the audacity to shush me. He told me laughingly, while looking at my husband, "You got to talk yesterday - I get to talk today". This is where we should have WALKED OUT. The doctor at this point will turn to you and tell you he's sarcastic and this is how he builds rapport - he jokes with people - IE puts them down. He preps you more for his sarcastic character than he does for setting you up for healthy chiropractic success. After the meeting about the X-Rays and an 8-month financial commitment all to fix my carpal tunnel (not a major car accident) - I moved to a new room to get adjusted while my husband went to the lobby to wait for me. I had to disrobe and put a medical gown on. He opens the door, and literally says "Oh what, your husbands not coming with you for this part?" What in the world does that mean? At this point, I am beyond uncomfortable. He adjusts me and I am immediately emotional afterwards, my eyes welling up and he notices. This is a normal response due to the fact that I have ADHD, which I told him on the first day after he so rudely told me I talk too much. I blamed it on the adjustment as I just wanted to go. Point is I should have left the first day and never looked back. I went to Lakeside Chiropractic the next day and she adjusted my collar bone, my carpal tunnel feels better, and it was the first time I could sleep in over a month - all for $25.00 (nice, quick, comfortable meeting which is what I am used to). I spent $284.00 for the x-ray and who knows what the next bill is going to be. Just a heads up - they wanted me to sign up for an 8 month payment plan = 284.00 per month. When deciding whether or not to write this review, my husband and I thought it was valid to share our experience based on a couple of reasons. My husband called to talk to him about this - trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He never apologized for making either of us uncomfortable - kept saying this is how he builds rapport. I met Dr. Lund at a community event and immediately knew he was genuine and committed. I had recently moved back to the valley and needed a new chiropractor. I went to Dr. Lund for 2 1/2 years for my continued care. I would have left this practice 10 months before I did, but Dr. Lund is awesome so I put up with all the antics of the office and Basler himself. As soon as Dr. Lund told me he was leaving and moving to ID to start his own practice I knew I was done with this place and I never went back after. They stopped taking insurance saying they would provide us everything needed to file claims ourselves. Unfortunately, they flat refused to provide copies of super bills (required by insurance company) and always gave different excuses why. I had to contact Dr. Lund personally on his last day there to get copies of these sent to me for my last few visits. The office staff did everything in their power to get me to not use insurance and force me into one of their care plans. I always gave the same answer, "I have insurance for a reason and will be using it." I firmly believe this place views patients as nothing more than revenue streams. read more

This review is on a short-term review. I have only been seeing Dr Basler for several weeks, but I can tell you now that I have a lot more movement and feel pretty good. I still have some stiffness and soreness, but these could indicate I need more treatments for down the road 100% wellness. My other part of the review is on the atmosphere and staff. When one walks in the door it's Welcoming and Peacefull feeling. The staff is always welcoming patients, great, friendly, and cheerful, which warms my heart greatly. Was on Thanks for the heads up.  Depending on how long it takes for the check to get here, there may be a delay in shipping.  We leave on a business trip that will take us 3600 miles and 14 days.  We will have someone here every other day to make sure that things are handled but he will be gone from the 7th to the 12th. during the summer of 2019 and started hurting shortly after we set out from Fowler, IN to stay a week with friends on Flathead Lake. By the time we arrived there I was in excruciating pain. Thankfully, I was able to get in and went for adjustments that helped me to make it to Idaho and all the way back home to Indiana 2 weeks later where i otherwise would have been in unbearable pain. My husband started seeing Dr. Basler almost 2 years ago. During one of his earlier visits Dr. B noticed that he had a prescription bottle for his seasonal allergies (which were awful - red, runny eyes; congestion; runny nose; sneezing...). Dr. B asked him if he could adjust him for his allergies. My husband of course said "sure". I was more than skeptical - I mean allergies have nothing to do with your spine, right?! They have to do with how you're programmed! WRONG!!! My husband has not had to have ANY allergy medication for the last 2 summers!!! I stand corrected & completely shocked! I first started seeing Dr. Basler in May 2017 when setting up an EZ-Up caused me to tweak my neck and shoulder. (Talk about irony!) The pain was unlike any I have ever had before and growing worse each passing hour. After 3 DAYS of agony that included not being unable to use my left arm, I did an internet search to look up local chiros in my area and found Dr. Basler. His mission and informative website drew me in immediately. I've been to a few chiropractors before and I know that they are not all are created equal. Good chiropractors will have a passion for what they do, utilize the latest technology in order to accurately assess the inside of the body, be transparent about the treatments needed/cost required, and, above all, genuinely desire to help HEAL the patient's body rather than just placate the symptoms of pain. Dr. Basler & his staff did all that for me and much MORE!!! Within 3 adjustments, my pain level decreased significantly; after 3 weeks of visits, I had full range of motion again and was out of pain completely! Hi, I'm Terry and after being rear ended in my car while stopped at a traffic light I acquired pretty sever whiplash, pain and headaches which accompanied it. I went to Dr. Basler and after the initial exam began treatments. That was at the end of March. After a few short months my headaches have subsided and I have almost no pain. I now have full mobility, can drive with no pain even when something causes me to suddenly turn my head to the side. I'm now playing sports and able to golf with almost no painful repercussions. I have been seeing Dr. Basler at Carlson chiropractic for about four months. While in the military, I was in a HMMV roll over which cause great trauma to my back and neck. I was waiting on a surgery approval do neurological surgery on my neck and back, when I was told by a great friend to go to carlson chiropractic first. I was taking hydroconone regularly for pain and receiving injections also, now after four months I don't take either. I could write a novel about how good my experience has been with Dr. Basler and Carlson Chiropractic. I couldn't stand straight and I was in so much pain I was in tears the first time I saw Dr. Basler. He thoroughly explained why I was in pain while we reviewed my x-rays together and told me his plan for not reducing, but eliminating, my pain. I have to be honest, I didn't believe he could do it. I've been seeing chiropractors for almost 20 years, and no one has been able to touch the migraines or other chronic pain I've suffered. He's done it. I'm able to do the activities I like and I owe a great deal of that to him. Side note, but too awesome not to share, I suffered a bad ankle sprain a few weeks ago and was told by an MD that I wouldn't be able to walk without a limp or pain for "several weeks."
