So I ordered a cake online for my husband's birthday. When I went in to pick it up I was greeted right away. The girl went to the back to get my cake and it seemed like a manager was training another employee to which he stopped and greeted us. My cake was exactly how I ordered it, and we also took a scoop of ice cream to go. I honestly feel bad for the workers. This young lady was super sweet and provided excellent service. She spoke amazing Spanish to ask my husband what he wanted to order. My issue with this store is the owner is extremely stingy. Ive walked in a couple of times where the owner said the employees still have to pay for their scoops of ice cream! It seems they get no benefits at all. The poor employees have to deal with customer's outrages of the prices all because the owner decides he wants to charge $5 for a tiny scoop. I can get my money's worth else where. The workers don't seems to be fully staffed because I walked in at there was the same girl I had mentioned before, attending to the customers, answering phone calls, and making and packaging so many online orders. I really loved this store and have been coming for years, but if this is the way the manager wants to manage his employees, the outrageous prices and staffing, I will no longer be coming here. read more

The other day I went in to BR 'cause I was craving my favorite Daiquiri Ice so I wanted to get a hand-packed pint. A new girl was being trained by the owner (who, I believe, is also a new owner) on how to fill the pint. He went to help other customers and I got my order. Went home, opened the pint and it was only about half full. Not cool. So I tweeted at BR with a pic of it, said if it was going to cost me nearly $9 the least they could do is fill it up. They got in touch with the owner who called me & offered a replacement. I should say, the owner & the new girl were both VERY nice & polite when I was there the other day. Anyway, I went in today to pick up the replacement and once again the owner was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. I also learned something new about the hand-packed pints; they're supposed to be weighed to make sure it's filled properly. Rocky Road is going to weigh more than say, Rainbow Sherbet, etc. I know this location was not great a year ago, but it appears 2018 has made some changes. People should definitely give it a try again. read more

I order a hot fudge sundae from Baskin-Robbins on a regular basis. This location is the only one I have not been satisfied with. The owner was hanging over the employee's shoulder. She scooped the smallest scoops I have ever seen and barely pumped any hot fudge over the small mount of ice cream. The employee seemed to be terrified of making a mistake. I didn't have the heart to say anything about my pathetic sundae. Glad there's an ice cream place nearby for my sweet tooth. I recommend going on Tuesday nights for their $1 scoop deal. The last time I went I got jipped! I got a single scoop and it was so small. Always a great treat Baskin-Robbins has always been a lot time favorite of mine. Quality confections, quickly prepared and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly and service is always fast. The hardest part of my visit is making a selection with so many flavors to choose from. My favorites cookie dough and rocky road. I had been here a few times and it was always fine, but after this last time, I will not go back. First of all, the place felt like a swamp when we walked in. It was horribly uncomfortable inside, and it was only 54 degrees outside. It smelled bad, too. It appeared to be a man, wife and daughter who were running the place. The daughter clearly did not want to be there, was frowning with her arms crossed the whole time and took forever to do anything. Then we had to wait about 10 minutes to get rang up. Went in last night and definitely should have not ordered anything. One of the freezers holding ice cream was not working properly. Could see the ice cream melting on top, was told that it was ok and that they were frozen in the middle. Lies. Calling Maricopa Health Department on Monday to do a check, this is a priority violation. Hot fudge was not handled correctly and no gloves were used during preparation of banana royale. Worst experience ever!! The rudest service ever, this girl rolled her eyes at me, and rude gestures. I just wanted ice cream for my kids. I didn't expect to be treated like some kind of animal. I really hope management solves this issue with this employee, she said her name was Alicia, but I wouldn't doubt if she lied about what her name is. I asked for small milkshakes she said they didn't have any then she said they didn't have enough Icecream so she had to give me smalls, after she said they didn't have smalls. Then she made watered down milkshakes that I had to ask to be fixed. I don't think paying customers deserve this treatment. We keep the business afloat. Went to the Goodyear location last night, there were 3 workers, one who was packing 4 pints for the one and only customer in the store when we (2 ppl) arrived, one who kept their back to us and another in the back. The person kept their back to us, while the girl continued to pack ice cream. Another customer came in-a white gentleman- the unidentifiable person who had their back to us turned around cheerfully asked the white gentleman how could they help him-proceeded to help him and then returned to a sink with its back to us again. Once the girl completed servicing her customer she then cheerfully serviced us. While being serviced a white women entered and the unidentifiable person cheerfully acknowledged her and serviced her. I then as why did unidentifiable totally ignore us and service every other person that entered? Now the person in the back leans up against the doorway while the girl who is servicing us says I don't know while simultaneously turning red. I will never go back, although the girl who serviced us gave us HUGE portions...I'm sure because she knew why the unidentifiable didn't acknowledge/serve us. FYI: I and my boyfriend are Black. I will never give this place money based on the clear racial discrimination that was displayed read more
